|
|
This thread is for sussing out the dimensions and details of the bottle for it's eventual construction.
It's open to everyones input, especially to those that have signed up with a statement of interest. There is however one measurement that is fairly firm and that is the height...I will ofcourse take suggestions and leave my mind open to having it changed!
Lets try to stay focused on this topic here in this thread. I won't be giving much feedback but ALL suggestions will be considered...
The ULTIMATE FINAL DESCISION as to the dimensions for the production bottle will however remain with me. If any of you feel a need to contact me privately with your idea's...please feel free!
Have at! And thank-you for your input!

Thanks guys for jumping in to what can be a daunting process...At least, that's what I'm finding out!
At this time myself and a few behind the scenes people have calculated some of the variable's for the bottles Height...it actually came out a little taller than we expected and, in this instance anyway, bigger is a little better.
As you guy's bring up other details that you see in the bottle, and let's face it, everyone see's something different when they look at it, I'll be taking notes...please don't take any lack of response on my part here as meaning you are not being listened to or that your idea's are not being considered! They ARE...I just need to maintain a little distance so that I can try to put everyone's input into perspective...the end result being that we will get the most accurate representaion of the bottle that appeared on screen and that everyone here helped to make it happen!

Also...As I mentioned above...you should all feel free to PM me with your insights if you are more comfortable with that.
I always keep PM's between myself, my tech guy's and the person sending it.

Yeah, I mean an educated guess will have to be made toward the actual size of the bottle, unless it gets sourced out as a found item that is actually still around, which I'm not sure will happen. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

I've compared the curent BJW bottle I own and the movie cap ( especially the ones with Bryant, cuz his hand on the bottle can give an approx scale of the bottle...). Well, i think that the BR bottle is slightly taller than the curent one ...well after all, if it was a found prop they could just have sticked the JW brand on it. Anyway, the squared or rectangle sections appart, the body of the bottle lookes like a JW's.
I think that the edges of the entire bottle are a little bit round, soft, than steep edges. |

I always thought the bottle was slightly bulging, i also lengthened the body of the botlle cuz i thought it was a bit too short. Here is 'my' interpretation of the bottle :

Well,...perhabs a little bit too bulging anyway
Will come later with an interesting find !

hey guys. i would vote for the more square footprint. i was just looking at the plastic Listerine bottles again today at Target (not a glass one in site) and thinking - they would look too much like Listerine bottles. and from what i can tell, the bottle (most prominently displayed) in Bryant's hand is pretty-much square. just my tupence. thanks for all the hard work thus far! |

I think the impression of any 'roundness' is a result of the corners and edges being slightly rounded as opposed to a hard 90 degree angle. Overall its a square/rectangular bottle, but with soft edges. _________________

I think i have found the label that is on the bottle, after comparison it match quite well with the screen caps.
What do you think guys ?

I think you've hit the mark there repdetect
I also saw the bottom "12 years" label somewhere from an older JW bottle, so these labels look as though they were sourced from older "obscure" versions of the wiskey.
OB, willyou be getting a quote for making these in plastic? It might be a cheaper option depending on the price of the glass bottles. It would also be more true to the screen prop.
Though personally I'd prefere this in glass
I've been away for a while so I'll check out the dimensions and give some input when I can free up some time. great job with the 3d diagram! |

Great find on the label! Any actual labels that can be found will be utilized to "true-up" the designs we allready have.
Havent really considered plastic Beast...though after we get all the measurements finalized and then get a quote...we may explore it further. |
