I always thought that the way to kill a good thing was to replicate exactly all the props/models/costumes, etc of a particular movie to death!
It's logical to extrapolate on the theme and be more than o.k. with the idea of a "world" where you'll find more than one design/model for a V.K. machine or a gun or costumes for that matter. The fun really begin when you expand that world and make it your own.
I'm glad to be a member here, since many have explored that world and came up with their version of Blade Runner Very Happy

Nothing is "working" on that machine; sure the screen are lit, as well as one button on the right hand side. The bellows will stay static while the arm can be lowered by hand (not familiar with motorized stuff) and the "eye" will be lit also, but that's about it...we're talking about a static prop here, it will be the same with my next BR project, but let's finish that one first

Thanks guys...I know that I'm posting a pic here, another there; it's just that, lately, I haven't had the time to work a lot on the VK. I just had the time to add the details at the rear of the machine (the arm support)and I'm still trying to figure out the wiring for the "eye".

Well, that's it...apart from the VK logo missing from the arm (which I'll be doing in a few days) it's done...and since there wasn't that much pics and details; I think it's not too bad lookin'.

I recently heard that the VK was actually rubbed with Graphite can you imagine the problems there with fingerprints?

They may have done that to give it a gunmetal or oily used look. The paint job from some of the pics did look like an off the shelf gunmetal grey to me.

I don't think the close up working electronic hero version got much in the way of handling. In the movie you can even see HF pretend to take it out of the case while is was already on the table. It probably also had power running through the table so they didn't have any wires running off of it.

Thanks guys for the positive feedback We have to be carefull in terms of colours; what looks good on camera, looks sometimes bizarre in real life.
I just finished the VK manual with the questions that Neil had posted a while ago (thanks Neil) and some other pics of the machine...
