Perhaps it's the approaching holidays . . .
Perhaps it's the pending government disclosure that we truly ARE "not alone".
Or perhaps the threat of a Zombie apocalypse. Whatever.
But now that it's actually November 2019 and the movie "2049" (excellent as it is) is behind us, interest here seems to have waned.
I know I have not been present as much as in the past, but there seems so much yet to be investigated and created,
with the license now tied to a source that shows no further interest.
Perhaps in another 35 years . . . Maybe by then we WILL have flying transport.
For now, it's been said by a familiar voice that "There's no substitute for a good blaster at your side". Just wish Tomenosuke could tackle the "K".

Most of the new tech was already showed in 2001 A Space Odyssey...and others in BR many years later...give it time, it will happen |

I was a teen, 2019 seemed quite far off to think about, despite it being "near future". 2000 seemed far enough off then. LOL
Finally got here though and I have some gray hair.
The film is timeless of course.
Thankfully no World War Terminus. Though frankly having been in downtown LA recently some of it looks damn bad. |

Even in BR the only people with flying vehicles were the police and the rich. Basically they have helicopters that can drive on the road as well. They will never trust the public with their own flying cars unfortunately. But, we actually have what is in essence a flying car already, just not as cool looking or versatile yet.
