So, first lacquer coat is on all six boxes. The second will go on tomorrow and then they'll need a day or two to cure.
I expect to be assembling from Monday, and shipping as they're finished.

Hey Skin-job I’ve been away working this week but I just wanted to quickly thank you for the great job you did. I got it last week and it was packed really well. The case looks great and fits my Blaster perfectly.

So, steady progress.

All six boxes are fully sanded, stained and lacquered. They've been drying for two days and I'll start the assembly and fitting tomorrow.
I have to scribe and cut the leather pieces for the tops, then stitch and edge burnish them.

Should all be done this coming week, then they can go on their way.

Work continues this morning on the cutting and hand stitching of the leather top panels. The edges are stained and burnished brown.

Lots of stitch in there Smile

The first three boxes are done.
The rest should follow by the end of play tomorrow.

If anyone who's on the list hasn't done so, please do email Deb to make the necessary arrangements for payment and shipping.

I haven't heard back from Deb regarding shipping and payment.
Please have her check her junk folder in case I went in there...

Cheers

I spoke to her, and she'll be getting to everyone shortly.
In a short while, that is, not in a brusque manner Smile

Thank you guys.

We've heard nothing from Hirohawa.
I have PM'd him. But if anyone knows him on another board, or by email, could they please drop him a line and let hm know the boxes are done?

Many thanks,

K

Money sent!

Hirohawa uses the same name at RPF.
I've had a few dealings with him and he's always been excellent. If he's not answering emails, I would guess it's a work or personal issue.
I know Steve to be a stand up guy and he won't leave you hanging.

Thanks Robotprops.
I know Steve to be a stand up guy as we've had excellent dealings before.
It's just I didn't know him anywhere else, and had no means other than PM to contact him.

Thanks Steve. Deb will get back to you shortly with shipping info.

That's the run done. Deb will get your boxes out to you ASAP.
I want to thank everyone who took part.

I really like the look of the MK2s, and think the copper/brass/chestnut leather/brown leatherette to be a great combination with the blaster/grips.

If there was enough interest, I'd be willing to consider a third run in a little while.

Best,

Karl
