i've wondered that myself...
i figure maybe one of two things:
- it's an "easter egg" she implants in all artificial memories, or
- she had prior knowledge of who would receive the memory,
thinking that a blade runner would have access to scenarios and information that other replicants would not.
can't help you on the metal upgrades,
though.
