On the original Hero blaster is the grip frame under the Amber grips bare metal or painted black???
On the Tomenosuke it's painted black but I always thought it was bare shiny metal????

So the outer "add on" frame is painted black.
What about the original inner Bull Dog frame, is it black as well???
I can't tell from your pic but it looks like it.

Well in fact that was my problem, it is a worn Anodize Black factory aluminum inner grip frame.
It showed some edges worn away showing silver.

Well a soft black and no Bulldog is currently gray, aged steel, no bluing.
