Ok, I know you all have been waiting awhile for the winner to be announced, so here he is

I am sure you all recognize this as Timmay!'s entry into the contest. While all of the entries are magnificent, Timmay!'s snub truly stood out when discussions had been going around between the judges. While there are quite a few movie accurate entries that are incredible, we kept coming back to what Timmay! submitted. His attention to detail, finish, and originality really struck home with all of us and we really could not walk away from it.

So to Timmay! I offer you a big congratulation and hope you will show off the magnum kit once you receive and build it.

To everyone else that entered, I cannot thank you enough! You are all very talented and have a tremendous eye for detail and are each skilled in your craft.

We are currently working up some other prizes because we thought that many of the entries deserved some recognition. Sadly, we cannot give everyone something, but I know ToothTech is volunteering his replica scale as a prize to each of you. Thank you ToothTech!!!

So, congratulations Timmay! and please pm me or email me your address so I can ship you your prize I am sure Noeland will contact you shortly as well to discuss the custom artwork that he has volunteered for the winner.

Thanks again!

Tom

Well....
as much as I hoped to win myself... who didn't... the second I saw that gun I knew he was going to win.
Such a good build with attention to detail... I especially like the serial numbers attatched to the gun. That's one of the best finishing touches.
Congrats to you in your winnings. You definately deserve it.

The serial numbers are all part of the Rick Ross Kit.

Thanks guys, and thank you very much to Tom.

Concerning the serial numbers on the gun - as andy said, that's the genius of Rick Ross, and I'd like to take a moment to recognize his talent and artistry.

Starting with something as special as one of Rick's kits, it makes it easy - and really fun - to take it to the next level. So I couldn't have done it without Rick. Thanks Rick! Very Happy

As for the Magnum kit, considering how long it took me to get around to building the Snub, I wouldn't hold my breath, in waiting for me to finish it

Just kidding, of course - I'll try to get to it sooner than within 6 years

Congratulations Timmay!

That is one clean build! As has been said before, your creativity with Rick's excellent kit is outstanding! Truly a deserving entry.

Tom, thanks for the contest idea - I really appreciate the opportunity to see such quality entrants. It is inspiring and hopefully is also motivating to get to work on other projects. Can't wait for the next contest!

Here is a low rez version of the original art I'll be sending Timmay. Thought everyone might like to have a peek.

The concept: This is a younger, meaner Deckard, very much the blade runner who earned the nickname: Mister Nighttime after the "slaughter at the steel shop" and long before he'd had "a bellyfull of killing".

Oh wow! That looks fantastic, Noeland! Shocked

As far as your description goes, is there some kind of backstory to that?
