				| I don't expect anyone here to know what I'm talking about from just the title, so an explanation follows.
Back in 1993 or so one of my all-time favourite video games was released: Chaos Engine by Bitmap Brothers. It was a top-down shooter with a steampunk theme, and the premise can be summed up as "Charles Babbage built a computing engine which developed an evil AI with reality-bending powers, summoned forth monsters and now six mercenaries go to destroy it."*

My favourite character of them was the Gentleman, a dapper chap with a big-ass gun:

Those are the only two close-up pictures you get of him in the game. In addition, there is some concept art floating around the net:

Recently I got the idea to put together a Gentleman costume, gun included. Given the scant material I have to work from, there's plenty of room for interpretation. After looking around for a base to build up from, I decided to go for the Lanard Rotator:

I did come across someone having done a similar project before, but also quite different from my plans: https://sites.google.com/site/mistergriffithsworkshop/past-projects/the-gentleman-s-pistol
