All in all seem pretty similar to the briefcase edition. Though there might be some new interviews/featurettes/commentary. I'll have to check my box set to see just how different. I'm still going to buy it. My briefcase is the SD version.

				| I wish they would clean up and fix the REAL version. There is no version without the narration.

I need the final cut fixes and quality with the narration.

BTW, and I'm sure it's been discussed long before I was here, but I don't get how anyone can like the non narration version. When you watch the Final Cut you know the narration. I can not see how anyone would like the movie not knowing the narration as that's when you learn half of what's gong on, if not more.

Only due to my insane collection and needing to see details will cause me to get this again.

				| They did clean up and remaster the Theatrical releases for the last set. Not sure if they will be HD or not though. I know my Blu-Ray set has both Theatrical versions in it too.
As much as I love the theatrical versions with the Voice Over narration though, I do find myself giggling at some of the stuff he says. It is cheesy as hell, and has greater nostalgic value, than for the film itself IMHO. It is good to watch the film at least once with the VO I think, kind of like having a friend help explain some of the hidden subtext you might have missed while watching it, but if it is done every time you watch it, it becomes annoying. When I watch the film now I like to envelop myself in the world, and I find that hard to do with Ford's listless yapping.

Maybe the Theatrical versions are best when viewing the film new or with a group of people, but alone I now swear by the Final Cut to really be transported into that world. I have also seen it enough times now I no longer hear the VO in my head. Still it is a lot of fun to go back and watch the Theatricals when you don't mind being less intently focused on the films atmosphere and just watching it as a movie. It can certainly make the story more engaging and maybe even help spur discussion afterwards. I like to rotate the versions myself just to keep the film fresh. I especially recommend the Workprint version as well as the outtakes version CdL made on the extras discs. The only version of the film I couldn't care less about now is the Directors Cut.

It was supposed to be part of the first release, but never made it in. Of course it will be online days afterward, but I do want BR to stay a viable property, and have them keep making/releasing stuff for us too.

				| Lot's of photos, very cool.
More details for the file, great, and when do we get to buy it ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
(Actually broke so take your time)

On the narration I even love the cut out narration on the deleted scenes, but I do see what your saying.

I also love the original ending. I like the fixed stuff on the Final cut but I hate the elevator closed ending. I love the original ending.

To each his own. There are a few people, none I know, who think Prometheus was good so you never know.

Damn ship's interior looked like an Apple store. "Can I interest you in the IPAD 3,123 Captain?"

 Dear Mr. Scott,

You talent is very hit and miss. More so toward the miss. Hit-Alien, Blade Runner. Miss-Robin Hood, Prometheus, Hannibal. Sir, as a filmaker and more so as a gentlemen please leave the masterpiece that is Blade Runner alone. You will only totally Fu@( it up.

 Thanks you Sir,

 Kindly

 Thomas

				| Love the Director's cut...narration is best suited for T.V. imo. As for the Hit/Miss list, let me be the one that points out that he made more hits, 'cause when Ridley succeeds, it's a Master Piece and not just a hit.

I can't seem to find any specific details about the one released in this version. Anyone able to shed any light on this?
