So regarding this prop, not sure if it's discussed elsewhere but would I be correct in thinking it's a (possibly) commercially available bottle of Armand de Brignac champagne?

Because if that's the case, then the budget for the catering onboard must be through the roof compared to a few cans of Aspen WY Beer.

Once again it's one rule for the crew of cutting edge science vessels, and another for the rest of us space truckers.

I don't know where that receipt came from, but somebody needs to find them a new liquor store. A bottle of Armand de Brignac will run you around $400 USD according to this website.

Maybe, but that receipt is for a 30 litre bottle. (I know, still expensive!)

As Brownclaw said: budget for science exploration: high.
Budget for towing: cheap. Then again, I thing it's somewhat of a tradition that a bottle of champagne (or liquor) is opened when arriving/succeeding in a mission/exploration voyage by the captain of the crew.

It's also, I believe, the captain who pays for the alcool on board since his salary is higher Wink

My bad - didn't see the bottle size on the receipt. Still - it's gonna be one hell of an expensive prop Smile
