|
|
Hey all,
Looking for something else, came across a source for raclan minilite headsets on ebay and got one as they are a fairly versitile replica to have.
I noticed that the minilites in Alien are different to the ones available, im assuming that the prop dept modified them slightly by trimming the two headpieces, removing the mic tip , secureing nut and the plug and cable to get the look. Does anyone know anything about this?
I would prefer to have my headset for a Brett replica on a foam head with the replica hat so any info would be gtreat. Its not a biggie as they would go nicely with the 007 collection.
Cheers,
Tim. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

(Thanks again Tim for your help !!!)
I'm going to display mine on the mannequin head that already proudly wears my Brett's hat from the Thinking cap co., but just in case any of you guys would like to turn it into a Lambert version here are 2 comparison pics :
See what looks like red markings on her headset ?

Anytime Fred.
All the crew have different markings on thier headsets, seems to be red letraset. The one word that appears on all the headsets is FLIGHTCOM, hopeing some better pics show up.
Heres a link to my finished Brett display.

Excellent Fred (and Tim) yeah...those Letraset are really handy . Could be their name on the side of the ear piece (each crew member has his/her own set) |

Off the Blu Ray Fred, unfortunately i cant get grabs from it. Much of the others can be seen as well but i need to sit down and go through frame by frame to decode them.
I havent had a chance to see any of the extras in the Blu Ray yet but maybe someone who has can help us out. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Thanks Fred...when you think of it, every crew member have their locker, we can see in a few pics that their name is also on the side of their station in the cockpit of the Nostromo...why not the earphone as well? Heck, everything is labelled on this ship |

Speaking of the Blu Ray set and freeze-framing, is there any way to pause the discs without that annoying timeline strip popping up?

Blue Ray, of course !!! Must buy one of these...
Harry, someone on the RPF (id : robn1) did managed to do screencaps from a Blue Ray, at least that's what he says here :

You should maybe try to contact him...

Harry,
Check your options on your BD player. Different players also add on stuff they think people want, but never actually do Not all the BD players do what you are talking about, but it most likely is just model or brand specific.

Ah, cool - I didn't realise that. I thought that 'feature' would have been embedded within the disc itself and not the player. I have a PS3 so I'll have a poke around the system and see what I can do.
Thanks Andy!
