I don't know if any of these have surfaced around here before, but here is a little something from my collection. A screen used elevator casting from the Tyrell Pyramid. I know it's not the the hero elevator featured in the film since it's not drilled for fiber optics.

I believe Ridleyville has one of the screen used ones. I also remember an interview with Paul M. Sammon, who wrote Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner, where he said that was one of the things he was given along with the 4" spinner cast after shooting was over. I missed out in getting a recast from a model parts lot a few years ago. Very cool item, and one of those items I have hoped for a long time to get a recast of.
Thank you again for sharing.

I'll have to ask Paul if he still has the Spinner casting. He's an old friend and lives just up the hill from me.
A recast of the elevator could be arranged at some point.
Sorry, no whiskey bottle! I think I've got a couple of pyramid nernie castings somewhere and an unpainted vacuformed Ennis tile pulled from the same patterns used for Deckard's apartment. Gotta find it. _________________ Dave

All I can say is wow...
Exciting to see the collection that is emerging. _________________ Hollywood is the only industry, even taking in soup companies, which does not have laboratories for the purpose of experimentation.

I am indeed lucky enough to have the Hero elevator, just out of interest the lighting on this moving elevator was not in fact lit by fibre optics, it was self contained LED's and battery power supply. _________________ More human than human |
