I am new to these forums but have been a Blade Runner fan since the film came out. Thought you all might be interested in seeing something I've had in my collection for more than 20 years. Original, un-used sheets of photo-etched brass from the "Refinery" miniature set.

Well, I've worked as a model and prop shop supervisor in Hollywood since 1984 and we tend to trade a lot of things between us. It's been a while but I think I got them through Mark Stetson, the modelshop supervisor on Blade Runner.

Welcome Dave!!!! I remember these kind of etches in some of my still not classified boxes... Long time ago a vendor included them as a gift... Never knows what the h*ll they are till now! Very Happy

I must look for them and compare with your pics to see if they are worth something or only an oddity.

Thanks for sharing and be here with all of us!!!

Small etched versions of these have appeared in with model kits, and many other BR garage made stuff for years along time ago. Not sure if any of them were original, or made to be replicas of these original.

Recently in the last Profiles in History auction with BR production material, there was a set of these and the original B&W artwork and transparencies that they were made from. I am sure a lot of extras of these were made to make the Hades landscape, and like the 4" spinner casts, and even the Stunt gun casts, A lot of it was given to (and maybe taken by) the crew. So the chance of some of pieces being original is not out of the question. The full sheets are another matter altogether. Thankfully a lot of crew members realized they were a part of something important, or most of this stuff would have been lost forever.

Thank you again for sharing it with us.

Hi Biggles,

Good to see you posting here finally. Very Happy From your Yourprops.com posts, it looks like you won some of those etchings at least. I would really love to see you post here more often. Your collection is one of the best around. Glad to see you are safe from the Earthquake in Japan too.

Hope to hear from you more here soon.

Andy, other all of you, thanks in advance for your help.

There were 13 kinds film artwork in total.

It is six kinds from Landscape
It is four kinds from Tyrell Building
It is three kinds from Blimp

Furthermore, three kinds of first edition of the film artwork was attached.

This is designed with a black cutting sheet by a cardboard.

I thought that it was great labor.

Hi Fred
No problem, while i am here i can tell you that i just bought all the production papers, designs etc and the back up pair of Tyrells spectacles.
I have had to use a layaway payment scheme but hope to make final payment and have them delivered some time next week.

Ridleyville, you and Biggles together do seem to have one of the best BR screen used collections together. I thank you both for sharing information about it here on propsummit. I am glad that we can from time to time help you too.
