1/18th scale - a little bigger than the Medicom Spinner. Dunno if they are still available. But you'll spend over $500 to get one, with the USD being in the crapper.

At that price, maybe a Randy Cooper spinner would be a viable alternative ….

I wouldn't hold my breath about the Cooper's Spinner at a less than $500 price tag (I'm sure I'll pay the shipping/handling to Canada on that one Crying or Very sad )...one can dream, but it seems that Randy might go toward the small production and that'll certainly keep the price up. Now if AMT was producing a Spinner, it would be very cheap...in every way Crying or Very sad

It would seem that the proper time to have produced a Spinner scale model would have been the 1980's, but then again, Blade Runner wasn't intended as the kind of movie that inspired that kind of product. Now, 29 years later, it's doubtful there's enough interest, (except here,) for a large company to pick up the gauntlet and mass-produce a kit. Therefore, we're stuck with low production, high priced, (albeit high quality,) items like we see here on the internet. What's a body to do?? Confused

I really want one of these kits but I do not seem to get a reply when I ask them on their site. Any tips folks? Is there a secret handshake or password to get a response?

Much thanks in advance Exclamation

If i hadnt just blown my years prop budget on a Co2 scrubber from the Apollo program, id jump on one of these and convert the medicom into my dream Mad Max/Spinner Interceptor.
I got the upgrade kit a while back and it rocks, can only imagine the quality of their entire kit.

Not meant to be Cryptic. Just thought everyone already knew of this. I think he is a member here.

Here is the site where I found the spinner kit: http://www2.journey-k.com/~broken_heros/newpage1.html

Priced at 34,800 yen. About $425.00USD. For a kit.

Wow, that's a lot for a plastic model kit. Sort of makes the Medicom seem cheap.

Access to this link is verboten, at least to me, however, that's OK. Price of admission is too high for this model, IMO.

Not sure why the page is now forbidden. He may be changing it or could be an issue with the host.
