Stunt Props;

OK I have been talking with a few interested in a low cost stunt prop of the blaster.

Everyone here wants a dummy Worldcon..

And I still have the old stunt model master so I think I will do both.

Both will have a solid cast body, with the knob and side rod cast apart. Side rod will be hollow and metal on the Hero model.

Both knobs will be offered.

Both will have spring loaded METAL front triggers, and metal front trigger.

Both will have the grips cast apart in either black or amber plastic.

Both will have an ammo clip cast alone as well, two version will be offered, a plan stunt one and the worldcon with 5 led holders and switch so that those that want to can add LEDs.

Both will have the trigger guard cast apart.

I like the old stunt Model as it is just like the original stunt prop used within the film…

So it is a matter of trim... No LEDs and switch, flat butt plate and you have a stunt castings...

Add LEDs, and finger notched butt plate and you have a Worldcon.

So let me know which you want and lets see how many will order.

The stunt version with no LEDs etc will run $125.00 adn the Hero version with metal hollow side rod and 7 LEDs (5 Red adn 2 green) with stich and battery holder for $150.00.

(yes this is a revised price)

Both will be offered in a built up version as well.

More detils in this thread.

Rich

I am interested, But I'll have to wait. I am a full time student and I will have to wait until either after my birthday or Christmas to let you know. My Birthday is in a few weeks, so I may have my answer then.

I think a full buildup will run around $200.00 for the stunt and $235.00 for the Hero with working LEDs.

I think we need to change the title of this thread. A "Stunt Casting" refers to the screen used stunts and castings made from them. This would be a "Stunt Style kit".

If you were using an actual "stunt casting" as the basis I would say yes, but you aren't. How about "RAC Props standard issue basic model, stunt cast" just to sound more "GnA"?

Too wordy...

As I did indeed set out to recreat the stunt casting used within the film and have one as a guild, I think my version of Stunt Casting Recreation model is close enough.

Well since the point is that you are making an economy version of the gun, and it is in the spirit of the stunt, but not a casting of it. It also looks like it will be a Worldcon version of the stunt. Also, we already have recreations of the stunt casting (from shapestorm), and it is confusing to name it this. It is still misleading as a title. How about "RAC Props stunt v2", "Worldcon Stunt", "CS&T Stunt", "re-imagined Stunt", for some ideas since you seem stuck on the term "Stunt" for these?

I do not see the problem…

When I did the stunt version I looked at a copy of the original stunt prop and recreated it very much the same way.

I made the model so that it could be a low cost kit, and a fair cost buildup.

I made the model so it could be made as a pure stunt, no LEDs and flat butt plate, and leaving the parting line on the receiver it could look a lot like the one used with the wall scene. 95% the stunt prop.

BUT give it LEDs, and a finger relief butt plate and sand off the parting line you get a “Hero” Dummy Blaster.

With or without the outside wires or weaver knob.

Give it a set of black grips and you have a Policeman version.

I plan on selling it all over so I am making it so it will be buildable as all of these models.

SO I think the title is correct.

If there is enough demand, when do you plan on going into production? I am interested in the worldcon version, but like I said before I will let you know if I can purchase it in the next two months. Also how much will the final piece weigh? Sorry for all of the questions, I am new to this.

Well it is a sure thing, I am already cleaning and modifiding the main master.

I feel it will be a OK seller on other sites and ebay as well.

So start saving your dimes and nickels.

OH boy you are new…

These are unlicensed models, thus we never can offer them in a major store like Amazon…

To do so runs the risk of a major Lawsuit, and I have already been though one with Paramount and Star Trek back in ‘97. And all I did was offer them on a web site back then.

This is a more of less a underground hobby…even ebay is risky….

As long as we don't get too big we are left alone...mostly...
