WOOHOOO!!! got a full size alien head in today... it is a great kit! even has an awesome clear dome. THis is by far the most accurate thing I have ever seen, better than any of the expensive pre-made busts out there... it even has a huge tongue with the teeth.... I ma really excited about this one!!

But I have to ask; are you going to use condoms to do the tendons around the aliens mouth like the real suit in the movie?? |

YUp, gonna use condoms... and with my luck the old lady cashier will holler "price check" over the store microphone....

| Looks suspicious to me. The tongue is not the right one. The castings I saw never came with the neck either. Where did you get this, if you don't mind me asking? |

Hi Clutch,
This is from very old molds, the guy who re-did said he got a very old head and the jaw was incomplete and damaged. it had to rescuplt the whole lower jaw and he did the neck , and I am going to add some more conduits but yes the second set of teeth I will redo, This looks exactly like the raw head in the ALIEN production photos..the details and shape are perfect.. this by the way came from Victoria. Austrailia.

Thats cool Clutch.. That one looks a little different. the upper and lower teeth are, the second set of teeth for sure.. although I am going to redo mine more like your kit. and the neck is missing. does yous have a stand or something? I see slight differences it the overall detailing but cool nonetheless..!

started a bit of work on this ALIEN head in between doing parts for a second Nostromo...
made metal and vinyl modification on the retractable jaw, then added clear polyurethane rubber for "ooze".... added the corrected throat details, attached the mandible and the retractable jaw, then started airbrushing the top of the head.
For the lips I will just copy Carlo Rimbaldi's animatronic armature with aluminum tubing and add latex strips. This is just a start to this head. I will try to work on it as I get spare time.
