Did anyone get a metal stamp made to add the serial numbers and markings to the Steyr upper receiver?

Cheers

I know from experience. You will have a very hard time stamping it without breaking it. The pot metal can't stand up to the amount of force you need to stamp it and still look good.

Beastmaster made one and chew then used it, he sent it to another member to use, had me contact him so I could use it. Member said as soon as he used it he would ship it to me. Im still waiting, been over 6 months now and he didnt respond to my second email about a month ago? So Im going to say its considered lost. If I do get it I will gladly forward it to you next.

OOPS There may be a light at the end of this tunnel! Ill keep you all posted.

The Sidkit is very soft metal. It might have a high content of bismuth in it, that is metal like, but not actually metal. It is used in pewter all the time and has even replaced lead in countries that have banned it's use.

I am now in possession of the dies. I hope to at least have attempted to stamp my Sidkit soon. I'll then forward them on to the next person.
