Guys, tell me if I'm seeing things wrong.Does the outer

that just kind of bothers me.

I am not sure what you are referring to. Any way you could post a pic?

I am still in for a butt plate, but I have car problems that need to be taken care of first. I will hopefully get back in touch with you about it soon.

I'm refering to the very top of the outer grip frame,
to the the tip of the end cap of the steyr.I guess
what I'm trying to say is the grip and the gun
look more compact in the worldcon photos.

There is a tighter radius on the top that makes it almost look smaller and tapered in. The angle of the grip itself is closer to the gun. Offworld copied Rich's angle from his v3 guns which was wrong.

I see, Andy that makes sense.
It always looked strange to me.
Everyone I've ordered some 3/4"
solid aluminum to make some Steyr bolts with.
I'm going to bore the chuck out on my 7x10 so
I can start these.Seems like quite a few
people are asking about them.

How much are the bolts going to be?

Any plans for tackling the plastic rear Steyr end cap that screws into the bolt?

Thanks

Guys,I'm going to try to keep most of these parts
In the 40 to 50 dollar range. The gripframe is
something that I'm going to have to find a way
to be more cost effective I may have to try and
cast them in aluminum, either way there's a lot of
hand fitting and finishing involved.

Guys here's some more photos of the
bolts I've been working on.I'm including
the probe that sticks out of the front of
the receiver and retracts with the bolt.
they can be be epoxied in or left off if
you want.A hole will need to be drilled
for the probe to go through in the receiver
cap.

Don

Looks great!

Could you give the dimensions of the bolt? LXWXH etc.

I want to see if it will fit in another blaster replica.

Thanks

Will the bolt probe have an indent like the worldcon just before the tip lathed into it or just be straight like the probe on the offworld? Lathed would be great if that's not too much bother Smile

I'll look at the worldcon photos and see what i can do.
The one I lathed was just straight like the offworld
for simplicity but it shouldn't be a problem.
