OOPS! My bad! 
I actually looked for this in the WorldCon subforum, but the subject made no mention of a replica build so I skipped it... Then I posted the link here instead since I wanted the artisan to get the full credit & attention he was due!
I will do my best to give my Sidkit the same treatment - I'm already wet-sanding my pewter parts to a high-polish before blueing them, and was actually thinking of having a real steel barrel CNC machined in the correct length and bore diameter. Will post photos when it's done - might even offer replacement barrels if I can get enough interest for a run.  |
