Glad you are liking it Lanboy...!

I took a few days looking it over, and decided every-square millimeter is going to be covered in detailing that will be as near the huge studio model I can get in intensity... I just figured it is time to go all out on this one. More pics of the Nacelle plating coming up. then finalizing the top coolant conduits....

I decided to redetail the docking module for more realism.... this one will be better than the last Nostromo... much heavier detailing and I hope to have most of the bridge done tonight...

More progress on #2 Lanboy Nostromo, I worked on the bridge and nacelles some more finished the large interstellar-gain antenna,

Here are a few pics of the model taking shape..

Out of pure dumb luck I stumbled on a base-coat method to seriously bring out the detailing on a model like this one, and make mega-plating finishing.... and the effect is making the ship look very similar to the mid-sized studio model used i A L I E N. This is starting to get fun
!

THis one will still be like the regular gray color .. but several hues over these base colors I think it is yellow looking because I took this pic at 1:00 a.m. in my garage ha ha! Thanks Fred!

JB-PM sent about the effect here....

That finish is really effective... It brings out the detail of the plating while also making the ship look weathered. Nice!
