				| Ive been looking in to machining up some sight rods as it looks doubtful that the source of the original may not be found and the casting for the sidkit is rather rough. After looking more closely auction photos it looks like the machined chanels extend farther towards the knurled end than the sidkit version. That being said it would be easy to cook up a few if anyone was interested. Im planning on doing a couple for myself but might as well make a few more while im at it.

				| I too would be interested. Are we talking about a hollow rod?
If we are then I'll take two.

				| Im not sure how many ill be running as right now its all manual work not set up for cnc. That being said ill look into that option as well if there is enough of a interest.
Some specs. Im basing it off of both sidkits worldcon version and the photos of the origional. it is cold-rolled steel with an 1/8" bore all the way through with 2 mounting holes tapped to accept 2-56 machine screws which will be included. There is a third hole like the sidkit version for the wire. I may also do up the LEDs if there is an interest for an extra amount.

Right now im looking at $35 plus some for US shipping.

ill make sure to post more images as i do the revision. And id expect that end of week next week ill have some ready. In the meantime hold on as this is just something im working on in the evening.

 Thanks

 -Michael

				| Thanks for all the interest! yes i will be using paypal when this all gets going. Also it looks like Ive found an option to have just the knurled portion CNCd. The nice thing is this will make it very consistant and far mor profesional than doing it maunually on the lathe. knuring is a bit of an art and where as ive done some nice peices its a trick and is subject to the specifics of the item and the tools.
As a result Ill need to push out the run just a bit, but as soon as i can get it locked down ill post a real sign up list. In the mean time please feel free to add youre name as being interested. It will give a better idea of the real numbers that you may want.

 Thanks!

				| Hi Michael , I am very interested in your machined sight rod , I am producing a green laser board and green LED addition that can be powered from the red LED power pack , the problem - fitting it in the current sight rod, the laser housing is 12mm in diameter and a little over 38mm long , the idea woud be to replace the whole of the knurlled end with the diode housing and then add a knurled tube housing to cover it. If the tube is hollow all the way through then aligning the laser diode should produce a good spot throw when it's mounted on the gun , all I need is a machined knurled tube to fit a 12mm laser diode housing , what do you think ?? all comments welcome

				| If you end up offering the green LEDs prewired, I'd be down for at least 1.

				| Yep, i've given some thought about offering up a prewired version. The design is certainly geared towards lighting just like the sidkit version. Ill have to look into the cost and how many people might want it that way vs doing their own.
 Thoughts anyone?

 Thanks

 -Michael
