NOTE:
Would everyone in the first ten please email me the following information;

1) your screen name
2) your real name
3) your email address
4) your postal address
5) do you want the "signed for" service? It's an extra £3.60 outside the UK and an extra 70p inside the UK.

My email address is kevin @ syndime . com
When your card is ready to go I shall send you a PayPal invoice.

------------------------------------------

Hi everyone. I have sent 20 of these of to Spinner44 for his wallet project which means that I have ten left. Two are already sold so I'm down to eight.

These are professionally printed on plastic credit cards, printed to both sides and they come with the holes punched.

The price is £9 shipped in the UK and £10 for the rest of the world. If you want "signed for" delivery, that's extra. Without that I won't be held responsible if they are lost in the post!

However, you might consider saving postage by also buying a set of Leon's photos or a magazine cover or two

Thanks again !

If you have too many members interested and not enough key cards, then I'd be OK to just take 2... I tell you this just in case...

The history of how I decoded the graphics from movie stills is pretty well documented over on PropCircle, so I won't re-cover old ground here. It's worth going and finding the thread if you want any explanations or details about the kanji or the design.

Here is a photo of the cards before I punched the holes in them.

And here is the first photo of the image I have used on the reverse.

The design is prompted by several things. Firstly, there is no shot of the reverse of the original so we have a clear playing field. That said, I wanted to be as true to the feel of the film as possible. There is a photo of Rutger Hauer holding Sebastien's key card after killing him. It is not the same as Deckard's card, but it features a row of affows. However, I thought that it might actually be the same manufacturer and maybe these different arrows were actually on the back of the card (they are on the underside of the card the way they are held in the photo).

(NOTE: this isn't my picture and I can't remember whose it is. If you want me to take it down just say the word).

I used this to justify the basis of my design. Then I kept the area clear which would have the holes punched through it. I added the "Other side up" text in a font used on other props in Blade Runner, added a translation in red underneath that and a diagram of the key slot in the safe corner. Voila!

I have wanted on of the ones by you since the days of this starting over at Bladezone/propcircle/theRPF, and I am certainly in on this for one.

Hopefully I shall have time to post a "Leon's photos" and a magazine covers thread tomorrow.

Thanks for all the kind words folks.

Oh yes, and the delightful and always polite Charles Wallace. Apparently he's never heard of the RPF, PropSummit or PropCircle. It is a complete coincidence that he started selling cards of the same design on ebay straight after I revealed the details! (yeah, right!)

I would be in for a set of each Kevin.

As far as Chip Wallace, he seems to have mostly disappeared off of eBay. I don't know if someone took a hit out on him or not. Shocked

Lovely work, Kevin! It's great to see your meticulous research and attention to detail pay off in such a handsome, "correct" piece.

Looks like we're all sold out. I shall keep adding to the list if anybody else wants to join. If there's enough interest I might do a second run.

I have to go out and purchase posting supplies. As soon as everybody's cards are packed and ready to ship I shall post again.
