My attempt at a website that will eventually have all my collection documented for everyone to see.

Looking good. A little busy for my tastes, but still a lot of cool stuff there. |

Always honored to see your collection. I admit I half expected to see the postcard from Cinefantastique as part of your homepage though.
Thank you very much for sharing it with us,
Andy |

ridleyville,
what a varied and unbelievable collection. i thought i was hardcore...
this is beyond collecting - you are something of a completist too! all the different versions and variations etc ... i do appreciate your thoroughness!
it was a pleasure navigating your site. and nice to see someone else knew about Orbital's homage to BR! i'm still a huge fan of the Hartnoll brothers.
Vangelis' jacket? you must have connections ... pals with Mr. Scott himself i would gander?!
well done ridleyville. you are a true fan. |

If only !!!
I bought it quite by accident. I purchased an item years ago and in one of the conversations with the seller he mentioned that he also had a red jacket that was owned by his friend who worked on the film. I assumed it was one of the dark maroon crew jackets but this was bright red. He then explained that it was made especially different as Vangelis did not want one the same colour as every one elses and wanted one that stood out. As far as i can find out it was the only one that was a different colour.
I also bought one of the normal crew jackets from a crew member who said that Harrison Ford paid for the jackets because there was no spare money in the budget. The Blue crew T shirt i have was also financed by the special effects company rather than the film production company.
I will try to get the picture up of the jacket this week. _________________ More human than human |
