|
|
Once i got Rachaels masterpiece, i had to keep going and after many months of searching and saving, this came together. Some bits were a steal and some, well, who needs a soul anyway.
Put this in the props thread as the shoes, tie and watch could fall into that catagory, can always move it later when i get the sports coat.

Thanks guys,
Its all my size except the shoes, too small. I`ll only get to wear
it once to kick off Pauls pic with the bottle idea. Down here,
we dont have halloween or any real convention scene unfortunately.
My place is a real dust factory so when work picks up i`ll build a
perspex cabinet for it. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Very nice! Espicially well done duster.
I just bought one of Megan Funk's black BR "jitter" shirt and tie combos, and a Steinschneider holster for my recently semi-completed bullet firing PKD gun, which taps me out for quite a while.
As you note, some of this stuff is kind of spendy, but also, some of the folks out there are doing some exceptionally nice work for a pretty limited market base. I've been looking for one of those shirts for twenty five years; we're lucky people like Megan are out there.

You bet Doc, its a great place and thanks for posting
And the "mohaska" in the holster is different from the one in the bottom pic, its plastic. the other "heater" is all metal and the whole thing falls over if i put that one in. _________________ Formerly offworld66

I know what you mean Pol but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What do you mean by the darker shirt? Do you mean Indys with a "Han"
treatment?
After some deliberation, Im gunna keep the shirt as it is, I really love it
and the brightness matches depending on which piont of the movie
you press pause in, if you know what i mean.
The only thing i might change is making the pink stitching thicker, the buttons, well you dont see them anyway.
Its the tie that pulls it all together anyway, the grey one just doesnt cut
it for me. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Beautiful work putting this all together Tim! I think some kind of cabinet is a great idea.
I can't recommend the Steinschneider Holster as it refuses to hold the Sid-Kit...which does little but piss me off.
I really like the pants too. The color shifts just enough with the light to make you think there might be two different pairs pictured.
I can't remember seeing a more complete Deckard Display!
You gotta get the Blazer man! |

Its all about the interaction for me Gaff old boy. Dont need just another pic hosting site.
An example for anyone wanting to do the newspaper, when i got
it done at the printers, the finished product leaves half
the printing paper blank it comes on and its already paid for, so just ask
your printer to do some minor cropping adjustments and
you should be able to get an extra paper for nothing on the same printing paper. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

Saberfreak's shirt photo is exactly right re what I ordered. I think that dark shirt transcends the 1980s... I also ordered one of the ties that go with it.

Thanks Joan, if you were local, Id let you play with it, its like a big action figure
Yeah doc, the shirt is very Blade Runner and current at the same time,
for my purposes the grey tie didnt click but would work with Megs shirt.
Youll have to post i pic when ya get them doc.
I get very nostalgic about the 80`s, i can even remember seeing "Where the Buffalo Roam" at the Valhalla Theatre,
as you would appreciate, the movie, not the Theatre that is.
Did you know Meg is doing the blazer as well? _________________ Formerly offworld66 |
