I know Gary has been obsessed in getting this bottle for a long, long time, I bet he is very happy with it.

He did seem to be VERY EXCITED by it's arrival and is now saying he wants to interview me for Blade-Zone.
The only problem being is he wants me to do my own outline for the interview and I'm a little busy still, sending out bottles and all...I would love to chat up Propsummit. |

First, after going away this weekend, I came home to a great surprise! The famed bottle!
It truly is beautiful, I cannot say how happy I am and thankful that Paul pulled this together. I really cannot thank Paul enough!!!!!!
I do have one quick question, how is everyone attaching the Wax Seal and ribbon to the bottle? Also, are you doing anythign to secure the ribbon or does it just rest on the bottle.
Any advice is appreciated!!
Once again, thank you Paul and all the others that made this possible. My wife even likes it, though she did ask what happened to the whiskey...lol I then had the chance to explain to her the origins of the bottle. _________________ www.propsummit.com

I just strung the ribbon around the bottle, used a drop of superglue to stick the two ends together and once it had set, I removed the "looped" ribbon from the bottle.
Then I laid the loop down "flat" on the counter and I used another drop of superglue to stick the wax seal on it. You can use the rounded bottom of a spoon to hold it in place while drying and to give it a little pressure, which is good whenever you're gluing things together.
After drying, I just slipped the ribbon loop back on the bottle and called it done. It just rests on the bottle but you could use one drop of superglue to permanently affix it onto the bottle with no problem. |

Try hot glue, or in my case double stick tape.

I would AVOID hot glue when attaching the seal!
The hot tip of the glue gun has a tendency to melt it!
(And I really don't want to ship out replacements if I dont have to) |

Good point. Of course I was thinking about applying the glue to the bottle and ribbon, and then the seal on top.

I just went with a bit of double sided tape and left it unattached to the bottle. Its just looped over the neck of the bottle. _________________

The double sided tape is working good for me too. I did attach it to the bottle though. I even taped down the ribbon ends like it seemed in the movie to be.
This ain't no garage kit for sure. Very professionally done by Paul and crew.

Great advice!! Thank you one and all, I think I might go the double sided tape way because I have a fear of damaging the bottle with superglue and not being able to remove it
Thanks guys and once again, thank you Paul and Noeland, and Pete, and Andy, and everyone else involved who I cannot think of that gave the extras, advice, instructions, motivation, and everything else.
Ok, there really is too many people to thank sometimes, so please know that I truly appreciate everyone's involvement!

Well, today I joined the ranks of bottle owners!
I received the package and I have to say that I'm just blown away at how cool this bottle turned out. Ab-so-friggin-lutely worth the $$$ and the wait!
I was grinning like a fool when I unpacked the many layers of wrapping and opened the inner box. Everything arrived in perfect shape. Thanks, Paul for doing such a great packing job!
It was quick work to apply the labels to the bottle, and I went with double sided tape for the ribbon/seal.
The t-shirt looks superb as well! I'm sure I'll get a lot of WTF?? looks once I wear it around the base here. I love the matches, too! They look great next to my Boyards.
Here's JB bottle #010 here in my limited display space in my dorm room at Kunsan Air Base, Korea.
A simply outstanding effort by all involved! Many thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting this replica together, and to Paul especially for heading the whole thing up! _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. . . |

Yup, if one made it to S. Korea intact then others in this region should arrive in good shape.
