Lots of stuff to do for the scaffoldings.
Here's an example: this design is only reproduced 6 times throughout the rim (closer to the rim pieces and unpainted for the pic)
Then, you've the following design being reproduced 8 times throughout the rim. As you can see, the background is still being prep for the floor and more greeblies.
Everything will have to be painted by hand and since there's 10 pieces like these in various stage of construction for every 1/4 of scaffolding rim, I'll be here until...Xmas next year

Joberg, Stunning work!
This isn't one of those "built a boat in the basement" things where you can't get it out of the house when it's finished is it? _________________ Dave

Here's the small update about the scaffoldings.
The pic shows the 7 different design along the rim (10 by rim, so designs are re-appearing along the way ).

Thanks guys for the comments; I'm building the last three and then it's off to the rim. Of course, I'll install the floor, the re-bars, etc |

Well, as promised the continuation of the Space Station Saga (or SSS )
Here's the finished section with the floor, re-bars, etc. I still have to finish the same section up ahead of this one.
That's it for now, I'll post again when that whole 1/4 is done |

Thanks Colin. A thing that bothers me is that some of the scaffolding on the real model are missing (done on purpose by the model makers), specially the arches parts (bottom of the arc)
This week-end, I'm going to perform surgery to remove those and pray that the whole assemblage holds |

Joberg,
Hope your surgery goes well. I think a necessary modification if you are trying to get your model as close in look and feel as possible.

Colin, I just bought a small size saw (Dremel) and I'm going to employ the GF as an aide to hold some of the assemblage while I cut it.
I'm still praying to the Gods of Model makers as we speak (I think that not enough sprues have been sacrificed ) |

I'm almost finish the other side and surgery will be performed also albeit in an other design. |
