I have two Smirnoff vodka bottles. One is the smirnoff de Czar from the 1980's and the other is an earlier Smirnoff bottle. Could the second one be the original from which the 1980's bottle was copied? Allmost identical but the earlier has a faint greenish tint to the glass. |

Hi, I have an unopened bottle of Smirnoff de Czar that I am willing to sell. It comes with the original box also. The bottle is in perfect shape and the box has in good shape. I was wondering if anyone on this site would be willing to buy it because I think it would be easier selling it here than on Ebay. I am willing to answer any questions for those who are interested. |

The last 2 auctions on EBAY had them going for well over $300 but I would be willing to sell it for $250 + $10 for shipping. I can accept payment via cashier's check/money order and PayPal if anyone is interested. |

Wow Andy, didn't realized how lucky I was... But there's no box included and the seller accepted my bid only because I was OK to get it empty (it was still sealed at the beginning of auction).
I'll now try to search for original "Boyards" stuff on French eBay. If anyone is interested, please let me know, I'll help as much as I can. (especialy if it's "french buyers only" auctions !!!) lol _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |

Found a similarly-shaped bottle today: A&W / Sunkist Floats.
The 'label' is a heat-shrink pre-printed plastic sleeve - easy to take off.
The glass bottle is completely smooth and almost devoid of markings.
For the ambitious, I imagine this could become a single serving bottle of Tsing-Tao.

Bottle weighs a pound and a half-sturdy box and packing weigh another pound and a half-comes to a little over 3 pounds so shipping is for a 4 pound package. Where's the overcharge in that?
Paid $340 selling with a Buy it Now of $299-where's the "making a ton of money" in that? The first auction was for a worthy cause, remember. I have a daughter with CP, so was glad to pay more. I have since purchased another for less money (the original which the de Czar is a reproduction of) so this one is up for sale at a more reasonable price (now sold).
One sold last week in the $320 range, but I understand that the winning bidder backed out of his bid and left the seller holding the bag (or bottle) Now that's what I would call "sad..sad...sad." |
