Something to be proud of for sure! Is that a Moebius pod on that base, and did you make the base?

The one on the base is mine: studio scale 1/6 (13 inches, like in the movie).
The one in the glass case is the Moebius one...smaller for sure.

Awesome stuff. I might have one of those danish modern stainless trays, but probably not an exact match.

It's very close to the original props...but for one thing: the original has curved ends, following the normal curves of the inside trays. Mine has straight ends. Crying or Very sad

The Hilton Hotel aboard the Space Station 5. Some of the tables have that tray (finger food in it). Also, behind the scene pics are showing the same trays (many on set).

Been trying to find pics of it online to no avail. Might have to cue up the film.

Btw, Pierre; the Space Station is 7 feet high, same size as the model used in the movie. Wink

Occasionally, I see the 2001 flatware available on ebay. A little pricey, but available.

It shouldn't be pricey; I bought those on the official Web site of the original designer...sometimes you see stuff on Ebay that are fraudulent like: "Original screen-used spoon + fork from 2001" Nope!

How well does the new Moebius HAL kit compare with previous attempts?
