|
|
I was thinking about making a leather case for ASP handcuffs to go with my Deckard display items.
The belt case would match the Deckard blaster holster, same leather, same stitching, using the same design cues, etc.
The model of ASP handcuffs I was thinking of are here:
https://www.asp-usa.com/collections/restraints/products/ultra-cuffs-chain-steel-bow
For me, they have the same vibe as other items in the BR universe, they are familiar yet 'futuristic'.
I know these are not Canon to the original film, but to me they feel like they could be. I think Deckard would carry cuffs.
A set of these in a leather holster matching the blaster holster would display well. Matched leather and stitching, 'factory' leather stamps on the back.
Any interest in a possible run? |

I would love to see leather pieces that match Phil's holster like speed loader holders, mag holders, etc. _________________ Tom |

Well, technically my holsters. Since I used to supply Phil.
Those kinds of pieces are possible, if there's enough interest to justify the time and materials in prototyping.

Well they will match for sure. I did not know that.
I would love a piece that goes on the belt obviously that holds two speed loaders and two mags (Georgedawestie removable mags) _________________ Tom |

Sorry for not posting anything, Karl. I have no interest in the handcuff angle. I might be interested in a belt pouch for a Steyr magazine, but that is a maybe. |

Rickhoward, is your interest in a belt pouch to hold a single or two Steyr mags?
Hirohawa, would you be interested in the handcuff case, or the Steyr mag belt pouch? |

I'm not certain that I have a preference. In my mind's eye, two seems like it would look better. |

While I can appreciate a good idea, the cuffs are a bit obsolete since he "retire" Replicants... |

Joberg,
The cuffs would be part of the working rig of any front line serving officer.
I'm sure he dealt with people, human and syntetic, he didn't 'retire'.
I feel he would have had other duties.
Jameth,
The Steyr mags I can see, the speedloaders? This raises a question:
Are we saying there is a Bulldog revolver inside Deckard's blaster?
The Bulldog was only there so that the blaster prop could 'fire'. In-universe, I would assume the only source of ammunition for the weapon would be the Steryr mags.
At the moment, I'm leaning toward a 'universal' hand cuff case which would fit a variety of models, and a double Steyr mag pouch. |

I'm leaning towards the Steyr Mag speed loaders as I agree it's makes the most sense "In Universe"
Thanks |

The Steyr rotary mags, or 44 cal revolver speed loaders for the Bulldog? |

For me there was always a revolver inside firing one kind of round and then the mag holds another kind of round that is loaded when the cocking handle is used. The mag holds more of a missile type bullet fired with the front trigger.
Anyway if you do the mag cases can you sell some matching leather pieces and thread. I can make the speed loader holders myself. Technically they won't work because of the grips but that's okay.

For me, there never was a revolver inside. The Steyr mags are the source of ammo.
I'm sorry, I won't sell leather and thread separately. |

I think we are leaning toward the Steyr Mag double pouch holder in principle.
But, there isn't enough interest at the moment to justify the R&D and prototyping.
There would need to be ten interested parties to kick the project off.
