Glorious!

Added my own Finlandia lid (had to do some heat gun resizing).

This bottle is fantastic! Great job on this Sarednab. I replaced the cap with a more screen accurate one I already had. Will post some pics when it's all come together.

@Fanghorn81 that cap looks great! Did you just heat it up a bit so it would fit over the lip of the bottle? Also, is that from a 750ml?

Yeah. Was a bit nervous about it, but it was fine. Had to use needle nose pliers to rip out the inner threaded part of the cap first, then heated and press-fit it onto the bottle. There is a little bit of crazing in the faux metal finish on the cap, but it is so fine that it looks like a brushed finish.

Also, its a very nice water-tight fit. So far it hasn't leaked or anything (and there isn't a cork).

it's from their smallest bottle ($12 here in NY). The Finlandia lids are all the same size. The lady at the liquor store let me look at and compare the lids on all of them to a lid I brought with me...

She didn't even look at me like I was crazy.

Finlandia vodka! Great tip for the cap. They sell that stuff over here too, so I might give that one a try. Is de vodka itself any good? (Not going to waste the vodka itself, off course Wink ).

So I finally managed to spend some time with my beautiful new bottle but have a couple of issues, I just wanted to make a quick post to see how other people have found their bottles and get some comparison to mine:

1) My bottle has a slight wobble to it, to the point where I feel I have to be careful putting it down. It certainly doesn't still 100% well and I am able to rock it whilst it is standing up straight on a flat surface.

2) One of the 'shoulders' has a not-insignificant mark on it and is sadly in a fairly prominent location, pic attached below. I fully understand given the nature of it's construction there were going to be marks on the glass etc. but I wondered if anyone has something similar or might I have been given an incorrect bottle by mistake?

This is certainly not a criticism of you Sarednab, you've done incredible work here and I was so excited to receive this, I just want to temper my expectations with what others have found and I know that you care deeply about the quality of your work. After having waited almost a decade to be able to afford one I want it to be right!

Many thanks from Bugen.
