				|
 |
				| As I took these photos, and held the gun, I kept thinking "I bet Gaff would carry this sucker!"

OK. I'm in the middle of casting my new film, so that took up pretty much my whole weekend, but tonight I finally got home and got some photos taken.

I'll start with the now famous worldcon tribute. For Karl.

Now I'll move onto my "review".

The first thing, I love the packaging!

 This is whatcha' get.

So, what really struck me was how big it was. I was expecting it to be smaller. Like I said in the blaster thread, this is more of a "compact" to me, than a true snubby.

For reference, and because I think most folks here own one now, a side by side with my RR snubby.

The second thing that grabs you is the chromed metal on her. And the grips. They are not the smooth shiny grips we saw on the prototype. These are flat black with a subtle texture to them. They feel great.

The grip frame, lanyard ring, and trigger guard are chromed metal.

The bolt on the snubby, like the full size is also chromed metal.

The magazine innerds are pretty much the same as the big boys. The little switch behind the battery is not easy to get to. Your fingers won't fit, so I've been using a small screw driver to switch them on and off.

And this one comes with the very cool "plug fire cap" bullets that I really dig, just like it's big brother.

Can you see the inscription on the back of them?

It says CS Blaster M2019. "Chifs" Special! hahahaha.

A happy accident. Thought it looked cool.

 And a few beauty shots.

 Overall thoughts:
They have redesigned the way the upper locks down to the revolver frame, and the way the barrel and the mag housing all lock into each other. The gun doesn't have any give or "wobble" it's very very solid.

Kato also sent me a detailed review of the "updated" full size and the revisions and upgrades they are making to it (including a grip that's a little bigger) and promised that the reengineered full size is even more impressive and cool than the last generation.

He also told me these will be available in the gas airsoft versions.

OK, I'm tired now. I hope you guys enjoy the photos, feel free to repost them save them, keep them and love them.

I have more photos, I will post them later on.

If anybody has any questions, don't be shy.

Oh, ps - the sight rod, and the upper endcap with the probe are steel on this one too, and they seem interchangab;e with the full size.

Out of curiosity, where have you guys been finding these worldcons for purchase?

				| Great review!! How is the price for this one and the full size one going to be? I have only seen ebay prices and that is a bit too much _________________

				| Thanks guys, I was very anxious to get it posted for everyone to see! I love the damn thing. For me the smooth grips is more comfortable than the finger grooved versions.
The snubby will be $500, and the full will be $540, according to what Kato has told me.

I believe that will hold true for both the PFC version and the airsoft versions of the blasters.

And you will be able to get them through a few dealers, maybe even me directly, I'm not aure just yet where, or exactly when, but I'm being told May.

I'm sorry, I was making a little in-joke about the photo, and the way I'm holding the gun in the shot.

 It's not a worldcon gun.

				| OK guys, I have invited Kato from Hartford to join the forum here. He may or may not, as his English is a little broken, and I don't know how well he reads English.
BUT, he does have plans to revise the full size, and they are more sweeping than I first thought.

Let me see if he decided to sign in before I let you in one them, but I'll give you one of them.

 A 5th LED.

				| I ordered a sidkit from italy and I had no problems getting it ,He put it in 2 seperate packages ( dont know if that made any difference) but Canada may be a little more easy going when it comes to non firing kits. _________________

				| I am looking into getting this and the regular blaster into Canada and I am meeting with some customs guys next week. How much of these Hartford blasters are plastic? metal? other? Depending on the composition, it may be ok to import as a Toy Gun | |

				| That's a tough call my friend.
It has mostly an ABS body, with a metal chromed frame and chromed trigger guard, metal chromed interior bolt, plastic revolver frame with metal springs and such in the guts. The cylinder is both metal and plastic, mostly metal. The bullets are milled aluminum. It has a steel guide shelf for the bolt.

The side sight rod, upper front cap, and part of the rear bolt are milled steel.

I know in Japan this is considered a toy. Not sure Canada would agree, and I know US does not agree.

				| Noeland,
I have a shipper lined up in Japan. The shipper can pick the item up and get it to me. We have arranged for an import code and everything.

 1) I can't understand Japanese so can I call them up and buy the blasters over the phone? Do I buy them direct from the company?

 2) Are both the snubby and the full size blasters available now?

 Thanks!
