Hi all,
I'm looking for a couple of binding posts for a build. Anyone have some, please post here or PM me and indicate pricing. Thanks! _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. If you need a good amount of them, I found this nice little gem that's up for grabs on evilBay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/201925165977
7 of them on there that are all screen accurate in size. That's the most I've ever seen on any one piece of vintage US surplus! The price tag is another story but, then again it's totally worth it I think. Wish I could afford it, bad timing for me. Good luck on your quest!

I'm willing to pitch in for the binding posts. Maybe we can split them between 7 members? |

With 7 members willing to pitch in, it comes out to $31.00 each Binding Post! Not to mention paying for shipping again to each member!? It does look tempting though, I'd surely be in if we could find 5 more members? That thing weighs 68lbs, madness!
There is another route I use when I need them. The knurling is a bit different and they aren't in olive drab but, the price is much more pleasing. I don't know if I'm allowed to do this!? The jig is up now, I just gave away some highly classified information so, thank me later! Haha, yeah right!?

I'd still be willing to pitch in as well? You can't beat accurateness.

Sounds good. If the OP is in, then we'll need 4 other members to pitch in. |

It all depends on if we can get enough members to be interested and commit, so we'll see. _________________ Damion: ogrotesque1 |

Andy, if you have any left - when the others above who are first in line have been served - I'm also interested in one _________________ Monsieur, azonnal kövessen engem bitte |

Thanks to everyone for their responses (and that eBay link!) but I think I'll go with Andy's offer since he still has some on hand. _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. I have 8 posts in several different grades
click image for larger image and detail...
-The top Three on the left are the closest to the actual screen used one I could find. I am asking $29 each for those.
-The next one is in great shape but has a slightly larger bevel on the edge. I am asking $21 for that one.
-The next one bottom left with the nuts and insulator, is a bit more beat up, but still great condition, and more accurate than the last one without the extra bevel. I am asking $25 for that one because the wear in this case adds to the authenticity
-The last three are pretty accurate, but have vintage paint on them. I am asking $19 each for those.
Shipping is extra, but should be much more than a couple dollars in the US, and I am willing to combine shipping too.
What I plan on doing here is letting you guys work it out here which ones you want. I will list the names as I got them in my mail, but starting with the original poster since this is his thread, and technically asked first. each person can pick their first choice in order, than after that can also take turns picking what is left. Once done, you can start sending money to my email and paypal at ajpokon@hotmail.com
I really hope that is cool with everyone. Here is the list of names in order...
1-Eric Andros
2-Skinjob/Karl
3-Electric Sheep/Mike
4-Rick Howard
5-Buch/Anders
6-seesinsillouette/Michael
?-ogrotesque1/Damien I can add you to the list if you want.
I also have a ton of the larger ones that are in scale for the Rick Ross PKD-1 and magnum too for a lot better price.

Thanks for posting that pic! They all look great
That said, I'll take one of the three at the top left and of the three at the bottom right I'll take the farthest-right one.
I assume it wouldn't take much to remove the paint, correct? Oh, and how much for shipping to Canada, postal code K1G 5E2? _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. Yes Andy! Please add me for one!? Thanks, a $19.00 post is fine with me.
It doesn't really matter to me how screen accurate it is, vintage will work!
Just let me know when to send you the payment please Andy. Thanks again,

Your in Damion, and Eric, since you are number one on the list that means you are guaranteed first choice for second post as well. so far that means unless someone backs out all posts are called for, but I want to give it a day to see which first post they chose too. That way I can start looking up shipping right away as well, so please either post or message me enough info to check for postage.
Thanks guys. I know I may have some other radio parts and will see if I can find them, but I doubt I will have them too soon, because that stuff is in the black hole at the moment. I also have some of the modern versions of the post, but can't really match the price posted on those at the link Damion posted.
Andy
p.s. not sure about removal of the 50+yo paint, but since it is on metal it has to be possible. |

I am getting $9.50 for first class shipping online. It may be less and I can refund a few dollars if necessary.

Sounds good to me. So then, $29 + $19 + $9.50 for a total of $57.50 payable to the Paypal addy you provided above, correct? _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. That sounds fine, and just make it the $57, and don't worry about the 50 cents.
Thank you Eric,

As far as taking the paint off of the last three. I know I was planning on using the brake fluid trick to take off the paint. I believe they are nickle plated brass.

Hi Andy,
I'll take number four in the pic, the 'extra bevelled' $21 job please.
Can you let me know (cheap) shipping cost to the UK?
May thanks,
Karl |
