Use just under booing water Cold blue and steel wool. Does not take anywhere near 7 hours. Two at the most. Just do lots of passes.

Under booing water, are you referring to boiling water? OK, thanks! I used denatured Alcohol, Joy Soap, and a Wire Brush along with 0000 Steel Wool and Green Soap.... I just think Birchwood Casey stuff kinda sucks for the simple fact that it's much too difficult achieving that satisfying happy medium with! It ends up looking either way too dark and blotchy or not dark enough and blotchy, but I'll give it another whirl sometime in the near future.

Yes sorry Boiling water, LOL. It does start off blotchy but the heat and the step wool take that away from subsequent passes. It's basically fool proof..
