Starting on the long road to a screen accurate build. Of course I've been keeping my eyes peeled in all the usual markets for these, and will continue to do so, but If you've got one or the other (or both) you're willing to part with drop me a line and maybe we can work something out!

Thanks for looking!

A seller named "Kanowarrior" has two ee-8 phones on eBay for about $20 plus $10 shipping. I don't really know what the market rate is for a post by itself, but that's about as cheap as I've seen the radios. They're not too uncommon, so if you have surplus fairs / gun shows in your area I bet you could score one and save on shipping.

I was thinking to myself "surely I've seen every listing for an ee-8 on ebay by now" and then when I looked him up I realized why I hadn't bid on his phones yet... I'm on the east coast and he's in Cali, so shipping is $50 for "economy" to me.

Anyway, that would put the price of a single post at $70 assuming I win it without the bidding going too much higher. For sure this is not a cheap hobby, and I'm prepared to pay that if it comes to it, but I've also learned patience is definitely a virtue when it comes to the eBay scores. I think I'll wait and see if anyone pops up with one a little closer to me.

I hadn't thought to look for the phones at the gun shows around here, though. Thanks for that tip! In the never-ending hunt for vintage Steyrs, I'll definitely be upping my attendance at them again either way.

I might have a binding post for sale later this week or beginning of next... depends on the quality of the three I just bought...
