Get in touch and they will take care of it. |
Here is the response from HCG
"I have spoken with the factory and raised your concern with them. They sent this reply.
This is a replica of the original prop and the back part is meant to have a slightly different finish, as it is made from a different material.
This was also inspected by hand and is exactly as the factory intended.
Thanks for your patience waiting while I got the answer from them."
I guess HCG isn't really worried after all. TIme for a return I guess. It just means that all the Toku-san versions are wrong and any other version that doesn't look like shit. _________________ First attempt at making something from scratch. |

With the respect to them this is total horse. I'm sure Karl (and others) will concur but I've handled the original prop and I cannot agree with their comments at all.
These blasters are horrible IMO and their QC has failed abysmally given that this is a premier offering.

Yeah, I don't know where they're coming from with that response at all. The end cap is absolutely the same stuff as the receiver, and the finish is clearly identical. |

He is not here. He is a friend of mine and he has no idea why he has been banned. I am guessing they think he is me as he and I use each others computers and he uses my paypal addy since he does not have one.
He used to go on with me at RPF and Rebelscum and when I left he had to join to get access to everything. He just emailed me and has no idea why he was banned.
If I was gonna set up a new account I would not use my name.
Just more proof RPF is not what it used to be. _________________ Tom |

I think that the RPF thought of your friend as a sock puppet account... |

Yeah. I warned him about it but such as life. He has minimal to no online presence and wants to keep it that way. I think him using my paypal is what probably did it. Childish behavior by them but it is what it is.
I still check in on RPF sometimes in the regular non member sections and it's still the same. Different rules for different people. You can recast as long as you are certain people. Stiff people for years and take additional jobs screwing your previous customers and it's okay as long as you are certain people so I do not miss it. I miss the fun but not the drama.
The moderator's behavior there and at Rebelscum is what finished it off for me.
Anywho back to Blade Runner.
I had to sell my beloved Rich blaster due to an emergency but I still have the new Tomenosuke on payments. It will remain in my much smaller collection.
I was going to have Rich's blaster as the screen used version and try to match it to the film (Not present day) and the Tomenosuke was going to be my AFB but with the issues with it and having to let Rich's go I am just going to make the new Tomenesuke my screen used one and only. _________________ Tom |

jameth wrote: | Their words,
We are proud to present the final incarnation of the Tomenosuke Blaster, the PRO retailer edition. This final version is the most accurate version yet, further refined from previous releases and is offered as a fully assembled, finished replica.
The replica has been further improved and made more accurate in the following areas:
The grip color is correct and the grip frame is perfected
The grip end plate is now the correct shape.
The receiver shape is improved.
The safety area has been made accurate and the gap between the bolt sleeve and receiver has been eliminated.
The laser has been moved closer to the receiver.
The front trigger blade shape is completely redone.
Improved switch cover shape
These detailed improvements make this the most accurate version of this blaster ever offered! Metal and mixed media construction.
No wiggle room. Like I said I have no problem with them making more I just wish they were honest. This statement is not honest and there is no wiggle room. It's fine, no one cares about integrity anymore so what does it matter.

Apparently, the UE wasn't the final version either. Introducing, Tomenosuke's Blaster 2049 . . .

At a glance, I don't see any difference. It would be nice to get some details... |

Well, I tried. Basically HCG did try to really help but Tomenosuke said to just return it if I don't like the poor quality. I guess they are past caring about their product at this point. It's a shame since I am torn between keeping it and just finishing it properly or just get out now. _________________ First attempt at making something from scratch. |

Very strange answer; doesn't jive with previous runs or customer service... |

This is strange indeed; every Tomenosuke I own (Pro 2, Retailer, Toku-San) is really well finished. (The Takagi from Elfin Knights is very nice too by the way)
Maybe I misread, but it was my understanding that the "HCG" special wasn't made in Japan but in the USA, thus assembled & checked (QA) by a diffferent crew ??? |
