I checked my leather stock, and I have enough of the correct Whiskey Tan leather for three holsters.
didn't know I had it
So, we could go ahead with a teeny run of three if we can get one more, as I won't have to order in a whole hide especially.

Come on folks one place left on this small run of beautifully crafted holsters, it's a deal, it's a steal , it's the purchase of the century.

OK, so it seems no one is going to grab the third place.
Let's go ahead with these two holsters and not have you guys waiting around.
I'll get these two done, then post on here when they're ready to ship. Should only be a few days.
Any probs, email me: karl@skin-job.com

Holsters will go out tomorrow.
In case you guys need them, here are the wetforming instructions again:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wetforming holsters.
Wrap the blaster tightly in paper towel, then clingfilm.
Using a clean, new sponge, dampen the whole of the outside shell of the holster with warm, slightly soapy water. Dampen slowly, front and back, in smooth circular motions, until evenly darkened down.
Be sure to dampen the whole holster or water marks will show when dry.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE HOLSTER IN WATER.
It could take a very, very long time to fully dry out again if you do.
When damped out with the sponge, set aside for a few minutes.
When the holster looks like it's beginning to return to its original colour, ease it gently open with your hands and make space for the blaster inside.
You can insert smooth objects to help make room down in the toe or near the main seam. Use a hammer handle, etc.
Open the holster up until there's room for the blaster to easily and smoothy get all the way down. Do not force it if tight, do more easing open and try again.
Carefully insert the clingfilmed blaster and ease it into the position you like. Close and fasten the thumbreak strap, if the holster has one.
Using just your hands, gently form and smooth the leather to the shape of the blaster. You'll find it will give with repeated gentle pressure and will stay where you put it. Be careful not to mark the surface with your fingernails as the leather is easily marked when damp.
The belt loop/shank on the back will require bending gently around the blaster. It's three thicknesses of heavy cowhide.
If you don't do this, there won't be space for larger model blasters as the slab of the shank/loop is flat and blasters aren't. Thumbs inside the holster and firm but gentle finger pressure outside will bend the shank/loop to the required shape.
When happy, set the holster aside, with the blaster inside for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently remove the blaster without altering the holster's new shape.
Allow to dry naturally overnight, away from direct heat and sunlight.
When fully dry, refit the blaster inside and apply a beeswax based leather 'proofing'. Allow to dry and buff to a shine with a lint free cloth.

Hey Karl,
I'm really late to the party on this one...are your holsters still available?
I have an early resin Rick Ross Doppelganger and I'm also down on the list for one of Rich's resin hero kit's it would be nice for them to have something to sit in.
Will your Holsters accommodate both? |

Guys,
I have a couple of Bladerunner holsters ready made and good to go.
One is the lightweight blaster version of the Cosplay holster in chestnut brown.
The other is the drop shank version for heavier blasters in 'Deckard Tan'.
They are USD$99.00 each plus shipping.
Email me if interested: karl@skin-job.com |
