I'm sorry the timing didn't work out perfectly for you. The information came to light very recently and I acted on it as fast as I could. As a gesture of goodwill, if you were to order the new metal version, I would ship it free for you.

How soon will you be doing the run of those?
I suppose I could always re-sell the other one on the Bay of E as being for the Outworld Blaster and other "plastic" models. |

Karl, can you put me down for another, please? I'm very happy with this one and I'd kind of like to have a spare to do a more "weathered" version.
Thanks! |

Glad you like it. Yes, I use very high quality leather.
You should possibly consider wet forming the holster, it will give it a lot more character.

All but one will ship today.
If in the USA, please allow 10 days before you start to be concerned, they usually take between 10 and 14 days, sometimes faster.
Just one left to settle up:
Jack T Chance (Metal version)
Many thanks,

A quick note on these new holsters.
As many of you will know, a full metal blaster can weigh three and a half pounds.
That's a hell of a lot of weight to hang off a belt loop
So, the new holsters needed to be robust enough to handle it.
The belt loop/shank is double thickness hide to make it rigid enough.
This the same method/material I use for real world firearm holsters.
unless your blaster is on the small side, I expect all these holsters will need some kind of breaking in and/or forming to accomodate your blasters.
I would usually do the rudimentary fitting for clients, but these are a one holster solution for many different blaster models, and I didn't want to 'bake in' any forming which might not fit your model.
See below....

Holster wet-forming instructions.
Wrap the blaster snugly in paper towel, then clingfilm.
Using a clean, new car sponge, dampen the whole of the outside shell of the holster with warm, very slightly soapy water.
Dampen slowly, front and back, in smooth circular motions, until evenly darkened down.
Be sure to dampen the whole holster or water marks will show when dry.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE HOLSTER IN WATER.
It could take a very, very long time to fully dry out again if you do.
When damped out with the sponge, set aside for a few minutes.
When the holster looks like it's beginning to return to its original colour, ease it gently open with your hands and make space for the blaster inside.
You can insert smooth objects to help make room down in the toe or near the main seam. Use a hammer handle, etc.
Open the holster up until there's room for the blaster to easily and smoothy get all the way down to where you want it. Do not force it if tight, do more easing open and try again.
Carefully insert the clingfilmed blaster and ease it into the position you like. Close and fasten the thumbreak strap.
Using just your hands, gently form and smooth the leather to the shape of the blaster. You'll find it will give with repeated gentle pressure and will stay where you put it. Be careful not to mark the surface with your fingernails or any tools, as the leather is easily marked when damp.
The belt loop/shank on the back will require bending gently around the blaster. It's three thicknesses of heavy cowhide.
If you don't do this, there won't be space for larger model blasters as the slab of the shank is flat and blasters aren't. Thumbs inside the holster and firm but gentle finger pressure outside will bend the shank plate to the required shape.
When happy, set the holster aside, with the blaster inside for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently remove the blaster without altering the holster's new shape.
Allow to dry naturally overnight, away from heat and sunlight.
When fully dry, refit the blaster inside and apply a beeswax based leather 'proofing'. Allow to dry and buff to a shine with a lint free cloth.
If you prefer a darker, more lived-in look, you can use a darker coloured shoe polish/treatment which will stay in the creases and folds when buffed out.

Do any members know Jack T Chance on any other boards?
If so, could they please drop him a line telling him his holster's ready?
No response to this thread or PMs from this board....
Many thanks,
