I found this picture of something that looks similar to the upper scope mount on the Nostromo gun from ALIEN.... Does anybody have any information on this kind of scope mount of any kind? Name, type, age, anything?

Apparently the Classic A.S.I. 4x20 Air Rifle Scope Mount is the answer to my question.... Glad I could help. You're welcome.
Next: Actually getting one. Still pending...

If you'd settle for a resin one, a very nice resin copy, try contacting Morganthirteen. He's a wizard with resin and made one for his latest incarnation of the NOSTROMO pistol.

Shawn's kit is pure AWESOME. Already got his kit, and is just trying to pimp it with real parts Just found a scope identical to the ASI on ebay, it's a Sussex Armoury... Will post pictures, when it arrives

Congratulations on the score, Buch. I look forward to the pictures.
Did you get one of his latest pistols? The wavy grip? I have the most recent and the previous version. Both are brilliant. It's just quite interesting to see the side by side.
Now you've got me thinking about adding some real parts.

Got the new scope today.... It's pretty close to the original and Shawn's casting... Really happy with, it adds some more authenticity to this mean replica...
Here is a comparisson between the to scopes...
Here a closeup of the two scopes, slight differencies, note the angles on the mount...
This is the blaster with the new scope...

So this is how it turned out... Upper and lower scope are real parts, and the blaster has a wheathered bronze/steel look. Shawn's kit is just awesome...
