Hi all
For those lucky ones with this fab kit I was wondering what you thought of the Amber Grips?
How do you feel the size and colour compare to the Hero?
Has ANYONE successfully got one of these kits into the UK? |

Same fit as always. They may be an accurate color, but I'd prefer mine to be a little darker, more of a whiskey color. I'm going to try Proper's method used on his frankenblaster grips next time I get a chance to work on mine.
I lost the cylinder release latch pin/spring - they shot across the room at high speed while I was trying to get it all screwed down. Here's hoping actual bulldog parts fit closely enough to work. |

Thanks for the reply.
So a pretty good colour match to the Hero then? That sounds promising.
Proper's method used on his frankenblaster grips?!! I'd appreciate a link to that discussion.
Here' hoping the Bulldog parts come to the rescue; those springs can be devilishly hard to handle! |

When the replacement bulldog parts come in I'll re-assemble that part inside a large ziplock bag so there's nowhere for them to go should the pin come loose again. It was late and I was tired when I did the assembly, and I should have known better. |

If anybody comes to San Diego Comicon in July, please come to see me at Toynami booth. I will exhibit and sell small number of the kits there.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Thanks joberg.
It was almost send back to Japan. Luckily, the customs guy called me asking what exactly was in that package because "it was looking like a GUN on the scaner" But I told them it was only a movie kit.
And by the way, this kit is absolutely amazing. I'm looking to get the pistol frame and cylinder nickel plated. Don't know if anybody has done this before ?
I found someone who can do it but I don't know if it is expensive or even if it could be done. And I don't speak about the platers face when I will tell him it's a gun part I want to get plated. Especialy knowing our VERY strict gun laws... |

dear Christian:
I am glad finally you got it. Many people live in Europe, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark......, are asking me if they can get it. But I have no ideas about local gun laws. But the people who took some risks got it safely and all of them are happy. That is what I want to hear.

Christian, it's been a while since I looked at the gun laws in Belgium, but as for plating, it shouldn't be a problem |

Hi Mune... I don't know what you tell them in response. They should be checking with their local Customs and Police etc. How do they expect you to give them a firm answer as to yes or no on this....(of course you can't...that's not your worry or your job to do this for them). Your general response to them that you have "no ideas about local gun laws" is a good one. It is their risk (not your risk), as you said. Right on Mune.

Thanks Mune.
I always use my country as a reference because it has the most strict gun laws in Europe. Airsoft is forbidden, paintball also, they are considered as weapons. If you refer to our laws, it's impossible to even import a Nerf gun into Luxembourg...
So, normaly, it should be possible to import the blaster kit in the other european countries. But I'm not sure about the UK or Malta. |

Thanks Christian.
As of now, I did not hear anybody who could not received the kit.
Australia, Denmark, Germany are usually tough, but they got it.

Due to my past contribution to Tomenosuke group in their very early stage blaster 4-5 years ago, they generously gave me a kit to express such contribution. (they used one part of one of my models as a guild)
Thanks, Tomenosuke team and Mune!!
