And to Joberg's point, time permitting, I'd love to be involved in your project!

With the "possibility" of a prequel (with Sir Ridley at the helm), one might hope that there could be a potential making-of book in our futures. As Tom said, there was ample work to be displayed from the original and knowing the power of profit, one might guess that a new movie might generate enough interest to warrant a book from both.

Man, If only Kevin was still around to see this stuff Sad

Yeah, "NSFW" (aka Not Suitable/Safe For Work) is a web term to warn people not to click on links at work, or around kids, unless you know you are not being watched. A kind of a fair warning. Sometimes if you post a new thread with visible pictures that could be a problem you would put it in the title as well. I do appreciate the caution, but we are a mature group here. Saving people's jobs is a good thing though. Wink

Andy:
I guess Kevin was mentioned in the Atlantic magazine article where my magazine covers were posted.

Thanks again Tom for sharing this long sought after FASH cover... and don't worry, a naked body isn't offending at all (well most of the time) !

Tom, yes Kevin had posted all the known covers and had been mentioned in the Atlantic Magazine.
Btw, do you know anything about the "Wet" magazine and its creation.
Rep 13 could broach the topic better than me, since he's the one who discovered it (Max also, and sorry in advance if I left people out) and made the research.

To clarify - the magazine Joberg refers to was an actual magazine someone (cinephil) discovered in the background of what was ultimately determined to be a behind-the-scene pic of Young and Olmos visiting between takes.

In other words, not a prop. It was a LA-based publication that ended a rather short run, about the time Blade Runner's production ended. That it found it's way onto the set and into the photo sparked some interest here -

Replicant13,

Thanks for clarifying.

No. That was not from me.

I'm not doing a "project" but would be happy to watch one develop.
Especially if someone wanted to fix that bad "Japanese" on Creative Evolution.

So. Anyone care to take a shot at what this cover says, or means? Any comments are welcome.

Replicant13,
Your cover looks good.
My only suggestion is to find real Japanese icons.
The small calligraphic forms. I think they are called Katakana.
One or two block forms, with a meaning linked somehow to
the magazine title. Have fun with Philip K Dick ideas like I did.

One fantasy I had ( and have) is that I can go to that time and place
( in my mind) but I can't bring a camera or my body...just my eye and
my mind and I can only stay a few minutes.
When I get back I quickly sketch all that I have seen and some
details are a bit soft and the languages I don't read may not be correct.

And that happened on that cover. The grid with the vortex was printed
on the cover of drawing paper pads at the time. The glove was clip art
from a Dover book. The headline was probably my best magazine title
idea. Now, so long after the fact, can't be sure it wasn't in the Dick book somewhere.
Dick would lead me down those streets, point out details to remember.
And mood and music were very important. And bold and simple like a poster.
Rid liked Metropolis." The hand of god was a machine?"

That's not a bad thought for that image.
