At least they managed to match the production value of the original. Rolling Eyes

Hahaha

Seriously though, I was wondering whose blaster model they used. I can't tell from that photo though...

Hard to say if the artist should be proud or... Shocked

I can't tell by the shots here which version of the gun is being used, though I suspect an Offworld for it's availability, or a Hartford for it's Blank firing ability. I am sure they wouldn't spend the big bucks to make one from a Steyr, and Bulldog. Maybe someone has to see if they can get close up shots of the gun from the film so we can ID it better Wink

Ok, no one call me crazy yet! But, now I really am curious...

Found this press photo:

Still can't tell. Every part that leads me to think it's one model, conflicts with the other distinctive parts...

Also, despite my efforts to find this film for "research" I can't. I don't think it's been released yet, even though all the press material says Sept 2011.

I'm 99.9% sure thats an off world M2019C
It looks exactly like mine
The shiny nut on the ammo housing and look how his fingers are bunched up, the off world grip is too small and you can't hold it properly without bunching up your fingers like that.

Excellent. I knew the mystery couldn't last very long around here.

That was my first thought. Affordable too for a low budget film, and no worry of damaging a irreplacable item.

I used to direct porn, and I was always sneaking Blade Runner references in movies. "Bullets and Burlesque" has a scene involving a homemade blaster prop. And in "Hospital!" there is a scene where a girl is hooked up to some kind of mind reading machine, and I ran the old "Environ control/purge" screens on the machine's read out. Low budgets, cheap props, but it always made us smile; my pornstar friends are huge BR fans.

LMFAO... i love that they finally did a Porn-Parody. Should have made shot it on film though, and very dark, that would not only look better, but hide the low-budet look easier ... not that i ever WATCH porn... ummm. No. Never. ah-hem... cough. Rolling Eyes
