Well, it didn't turn out so well. I'm not surprised though, I knew the detail was really pushing the limits of the stainless steel 3D printing process. But now I'm going to have it run in Sterling silver. It's a completely different process. The ring is 3D printed in wax, which is then investment cast in silver. This is the normal proceedure for casting jewelry and should produce much better results. Stay tuned...

It's actually not too bad...and Dave, you're right to say that a sterling silver medium cast in wax will yield better result for sure.

Well, if you wanted a version that was rough like Deckard's apartment tiles, this is a success. Kind of cool really.

I've just ordered the ring in Sterling Silver. Should have it around the first of the month.
