For the price, it really is not a bad deal. |
^ Good price although I'll need to modify it for screen-accuracy (if that's possible)...

I only need it for display and occasional handling - doesn't have to be too robust. YGPM! |

I would like to address a few things.
I set out to make as accurate as possible a recreation of the Blade Runner blaster.
To do this, meant not changing any of the real gun parts unless absolutely necessary.
But any time you make a metal thing into a plastic thing you running into some problems.
What was totally strong enough in metal is much weaker in plastic.
Reread that last line.
I made the model as strong as I could by adding extra screws as I found the pin and one screw of the real thing used to hold the pistol frame to the gun grip was a very weak point.
This helped with all of my earlier models, granted they were not up to cosplay but come on, cosplay was not a thing 8/10 years ago when I started this.
I have offered a dummy model that is very tough being a 80% solid cast model but it sold very poorly.
And IF I was to make a cosplay model now I would go with my old stunt dummy model with cast in color and clear amber grips, that way it would take being holstered and tossed around with minimum damage. With no paint it would wear better…
As I was working up to the new all metal model I tried building a combo version, part metal and part plastic.
But in adding all the metal parts ( with all that extra weight) and using the correct pin and one crew of the original made the point of how weak the pistol connected with the grips frame is.
The all metal model does not have the problem of flex.
It is made of metal. Like the real guns.
Also I have a fix for the earlier metal and plastic models, and will be tested it for its final details, it does mean losing the take apart feature of the pistol frame from the grips as some glue in used.
I ask anyone that wants their model updated to get in touch with me.
The new 90% all metal model will be out soon.

Because of the pending problem I will also ask all UK orders to contact me, I will see that they go out first.

Can anyone list the major discrepencies between the M2019 Diecast and other Blasters out there?
Hoping to clarify on an accuracy scale. |

I am currently working on a review and identification subforum and thread for each of the currently available guns. If you haven't downloaded the Worldcon pics yet, you might want to start there to see the differences for yourself.

The differences are pretty minor. I can try to put up a list of them soon, but many of the true differences can be subjective. It is a more accurate gun than the Rick Ross guns. Here is the comparison photos to also help with some of the more obvious stuff...
Read this thread for more info...

Apart from the obviouse (buttplate, trigger guard other minor parts) what are the big differences between coyles metal model and sidkits one? In terms of structual that cannot be modified from sidkit? |

I'm sure he'll let us know...but I would guess that the main difference will be that the Coyle will be over-priced as usual.

The big differences in the Sidkit so far for me are the inset grip pattern on the grips (still nobody makes them clearer), and the screw holding in the Steyr clip. Other more minor stuff are the inaccurate screws, the missing numbers and marks on the front of the receiver, and the butt plate. The fact that the Steyr clip and housing are metal instead of plastic is also an issue in the fact that it adds to the considerable weight of it. |

Not to mention that the Sid-Kit is also missing the rings around the L.E.D.s, the switch "OFF-ON"plate, the Weaver Knob and the correct thickness in the butt-plate...all features that I have enjoyed adding myself. |

Got my Sidkit today!
ordered direct from sid's website. Very nice quality castings. I'll get to work on it as soon as I've finished my badge project. Might set up a thread on my progress. |

He made up a few more kits, and always seems to have a couple spare lying around. I would send an email to the one posted at his website. He tends to reply to that one pretty quickly. His shipping is almost free too. He charges like $10 to the US, but always spends a lot more than that, so he eats the difference. I bought the Badges and the Stephan Dane Leon Cop Derringer from him directly. Got them in a few days. |
