I decided to re-look at how my WorldCon blaster is being displayed and feeling the need for a change, I thought perhaps something totally different was in order.

This time I figured, it might be interesting to make up a display that looked similar to the way the original was shown at the Profiles in History Auction.

I doubt that it will stay this way because it takes up too much space but it was an invigorating exercise in replicating not only an actual event but also items other than those we usually see…

Kind Regards
MARK

Mark, mate Shocked Your displays are always fantastic, not only the pics, but also the way you put them together (you would be in demand in the store window display business) Cool

What? No black electrical tape? It can't be a Profiles display unless you replicated the black electrical tape. Shocked

I'll never be able to live down the shame… Crying or Very sad

My sincerest apologies for not posting this sooner Karl.

Hopefully this gesture will go some way in restoring what little credibility and dignity I used to have with the rest of the members of Propsummit..

My most humble regards

MARK

LOL, thanks guys…

Unfortunately it was packaged only in a lightly padded envelope with no support or warnings on it and it arrived damaged and folded in half which bent the pages and split the spine...

I was seriously miffed but I've sent it off to a very good book restoration specialist I know and even though it will never be perfect it will at least look a lot better than it does now….

Best

I hope you got some of your money back then. Considering the price you paid you deserved it in perfect condition.

That sucks big time mate Evil or Very Mad ...what is it now with all of those courrier/mail companies? I received a bunch of pics send to me by my Father and they arrived in an awful state: bent and wet Confused

I agree. I ordered a back issue magazine on 2001: A Space Odyssey and it arrived totally trashed and unusable. What can you do? At that point, getting your money back is not going to replace the irreplaceable …...
