|
|
Hi All
I first joined this forum around this time last year.
In that time a lot has happened, work, holidays, getting engaged...
You know the drill. So once more my BR: Blaster dream was put on hold.
Anyways - I'm back in the market for a blaster - only this time with a twist. My father is retiring this year - and I want to give him something special to symbolise the occasion.
My sister works for a 3D modelling company and has agreed to building me 2x acrylic display stands, with a perspex casing.
I have designed this plaque, which I'm in the process of speaking to a couple of different companies about getting produced. (gonna cost me about £30 - £40 for 2x plaques. There's this one, and i'll probably change it slightly for the second.
And the feature of this project is ***drumroll*** gonna be the blaster.
------
My father and I love bladerunner, and I think he would get a real kick out of receiving this as a personalised gift.
Of course - i'll be making/aquiring myself one aswell
------
So - I'm looking for a solution / bargain / guide, anything to help with the project.
As a cheap alternative - I have just ordered a bunch of the fancy dress gun bladerunner knock off toys on ebay for £4.00 each. I reckon with some patience and effort, I can turn one of those into a semi decent display piece - but the perfectionist in me keeps nagging.
Help!
(P.S) I posted this thread earlier. http://propsummit.com/viewtopic.php?t=2708 |

Hi Aaron D82, there is a member of the forums on here named Bassnoir looking to sell his all metal sidkit and an all metal rich coyle one. I can't seem to find the thread at the moment but you could look him up in the memberlist and try to pm him. Best of luck!! |
