GREAT IDEA !!! (and thanks a lot for the quick feedback, guys)
BTW, as promised, here is how I did to include a LED in the handle... I had this spare thing (from the DEEP EYES HELMET I used as a basis for my OFFWORLD SHOCKTROOPER HELMET)
It's composed of a LED, a switch and 3 small batteries, all encapsulated in a transparent blue case. If you press the switch, the LED pulses slowly. if you press it a second time, then the LED pulses quickly. If you press it a third time, it will simply stay lighted (no pulsating light anymore). Press it a fourth time to turn it off.
I've inserted this thing in the handle (had to carve it first). On top of the handle is the access hole to the switch. It can be pressed using a sharp tool such as a round file...
Et voilà !

It could maybe be offered as an option with the kit and/or built ???
My 2 cents...

My idea of the sight rod may look real stupid. It's just one of those things you have to see.
Maybe Rich can just hold one up next to a prototype and see how it looks.
I agree with Fred it may be too much as well as the bottom light might be. We will just have to see.
I'm very excited and want to thank Fred and Rich for this.
Hopefully we will get more people interested as it develops. |

One possablity would be to shorten the rod.
I like how it ties it to the Blaster.

Jameth, perhaps a holster was made for the COP?Otherwise a modified Derringer holster might work. |

Excellent. Will research. May be hard matching it to the Blaster holster but great starting point.
Thanks |

Only found this one or similar:
http://holsterbuyersguide.com/Articles.php?action=detail&g=content1235084462
Problem is the extra space for the trigger we don't need and the thumb snap that won't fit around our grip. But it's a start.
I could make a holster easy enough but I really want to find one that matches the Blaster holster. |

You might want to make it an ankle holster, because in the scripts that is where Deckard kept his back up gun. The size is good for it too.

I had a debate with a friend as to why he forgot the backup…
He said he never had one..otherwise he would have pulled it when he lost the Blaster running from Batty.
I suggested he was a little too sure of himself and stopped carrying it as he had so far never needed it and even when Leon batted it out of his hand did not think he was out matched until Pris and then Batty beat him…and after the wall encounter he was so unnerved by these last two that he ran…
And sadly he had not carried it on this hunt…

On the holster does anyone have the ability to get leather and match it to Phil's Blaster Holster??????
I also need to make speedloader holders and holders for my rocket rounds.
As far as where it was kept I figured a rotating belt clip would work so it can be kept where ever you want at any angle.
I prefer on the belt, straight up in the middle of the back. It can be easily reached with either arm. Just pray you don't take a blow to it like a fall or kick. Some cops have stopped carrying anything in the center rear of the gunbelt due to spinal injuries from that happening. |

I would say you want your reloader closer to you nongun hand...that way you holding the gun and can reload with the other hand.
Also, with a holdout/backup gun, reloading is usually not the idea, if you having to reload your backup your really in trouble..and most would rather carry a second back up than consider carring reloads.
My 2 cents worth.

I was talking about speedloaders and rocket rounds for the main blaster and making a holder for them. Then secondly about where I would place my back up.
For me in real life my back up takes the same mags as my main weapon. That is why Glocks rule but that's another discussion. |

OK If your going with the film's thinking then you will be carrying spair Mags or clips, not a speed loader...

Too bad the COP wasn't a big success.Than they would have made many different holsters for it. That one has potential with some mods at least. |

You got me at a bad time jameth, a Sam Spade wallet, an accurate Maltese Falcon relica and the LE Goldern Gun all have to be paid for this month. I would be more a number 40-50 in the run guy at the minute. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |
