Very, very nice Oldzey.
I really love the look of this gun.
I wouldn't have guessed it was resin, looks like the real deal.

VP70 is an interesting weapon because it had a clip on stock which enabled the weapon to fire 3 round bursts. It couldn't fire the bursts without the stock though. It was quite futuristic when it came out and not a great success.

Here are a couple pictures of an airsoft version with the stock.Showing how it also served as a holster.

Great Pics steevy!

I remember years ago when this thing came out, it had a composite design, and because it had some plastic parts, a lot of people thought it was entirely plastic and was a threat through X-ray machines. H&K had some really great stuff, I have an H&K-91 I bought in '88, it's a blast! Laughing

Sidkit used to make a version of the VP70 with moving parts and a removable clip:

Yes - first photo was from the (now closed) Sidkit website (here it is as viewed on the wayback machine at archive.org):

SCALE 1/1 REPLICA PROP
Comes unpainted and unassembled.

PRICE: $79.00 US Dollars
CODE: VP-70

Clean professional casted resin kit with metal parts, exact in every detail and parts fit together! Working breechloader, removable magazine, working safety, fake bullet, it disassembles like the original one.

This model can't shoot anything and can not be made to fire.

Second and third photos were from a sale thread at the RPF Junkyard (now sold and pictures removed):

I had a VP-70 once, the trigger pull was AWFUL. (like 10 pounds or so) It was designed for the 3-shot burst, I guess, but semi was the only option sold here.
It IS mostly plastic, but 17 rounds of 9mm tend to give it some heft fully loaded.
I remember selling it for $175, and happy to be rid of it.
