|
|
Hi, I'm pretty new to this forum, and from what I have seen, its amazing !
A friend of mine and me were talking the other week about the Blade Runner Johnny Walker Whiskey bottle, and how cool it would be to own one!
Looking over the site, I see that some were produced...
Any ideas where we could buy these from, and roughly how much...
Cheers! _________________ all the best

Hi Tricky !
Regarding the JW bottle, I'm afraid you're very late to the party... Some of those surface from time to time on eBay (around 400usd iirc) but it's definitely a very rare item now...
The whole story here :

Good luck !
It's not impossible to get one... but time (and big money) are definitely needed !

Hi Skin Job!
Thanks for the response. You have confirmed our worst fears. ( not the money value as money is never a object for something like this Right?) but the availability.
Oh well I will keep my eyes open.

The one on Ebay is Paul's last one. He sold his last un cracked one a while ago and this is his last damaged one. It says it has a small ding on it.
I bought a cracked one. It saved me $400 and you have to look to find the small crack. Holds liquid fine
Good Luck |

Too bad that the description of the bottle (according to my source) and its origin is somewhat inaccurate |

The most I have seen one of these sell for is a little over $800, so this is a little bit of an exaggeration...I did tell him that prices upward of that could be reached though, but that was before the recession hit. Also at least one sold for less than $500.
He is a bit brave to be giving as much info as he is though. This was a sample proof run paid only by deposit for a larger run. There is always a chance that the Chinese factory will send lawyers here to finish the deal. That is why he waited so long to put any of his up on Ebay himself, and why he was not able to get replacements for the cracked ones. I know another guy who did a similar thing with repro slot cars and ended up shot to death in his own home. If it is true the factory was hit by the earthquake back then, he may be one of the luckiest guys in the world. He can also always say the bottles are of unacceptable quality, but if he is selling them, that gets a bit harder to do.
Andy
Edited because spell check changed some words for me Or I just didn't proof read well enough

The set came with a T-Shirt by Noeland, a set of matchbooks from Pete, and two Harry Bryant style shotglasses. I think it is still the that bottle everybody wants though.

Regardless of the distractions that may or may not come with the bottle,it still remains the best fan made prop made available to other fans, ever.
Im listing my spare bottle soon but if it doesnt get the price i want, it will stay in the cabinet. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |
