It's the model of hammer drill used for the body of the Aliens motion tracker.

Hi br64fan,

I'm afraid that you could really drive yourself crazy, searching forever for a kango!!! Shocked But there is an alternative that might just save your sanity!!! Wink

Dewalt SDS

Kango 426

What you are looking for is a Dewalt SDS Hammer Drill. They make a range of different models that are based on the old Kango design. They are readily avaiable in the UK, but brand new working examples are, of course, not exactly cheap!!! Sad However, as you don't need one in working order, you might be able to pick up a broken one quite cheaply

Here's a couple of links, to new ones, to get you started.

http://www.expresstools.co.uk/shop/dewalt/dewalt-sds-plus-hammers.html

http://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/clearance-corner/dewalt-d25314k-sds-plus-hammer-drill-2kg-with-2-chucks.html?gclid=CJzx2vip4Z8CFUIA4wodDU_5HQ

Hope that this has been of some help to you, good look and good hunting!

Have a better one,

Mike.

This thread should be moved to the SEQUEL PROPS section, I think...

It's nearly impossible to find anywhere, for what it's worth. MR made a pretty decent replica, which you can still pick up from time to time.

Unless you really know what to look for the MR and a scratch built one are identical. I had both.

Best

Praise the lord,finally....finally found one in good shape Very Happy .Well that took up about three and a half years of searching. Honestly, anyone thinking of starting a motion tracker project bear this in mind....Don't do it.most of the part are quite easy to find but the main body is a nightmare and drives you to obsession Shocked .Most of the people who have one crank up the price to that of a small car or they are very poor recasts Rolling Eyes .I'm a happy bunny now and would like to say thanks to all those of whom helped in my fruitless search.I'm off, lots of drilling and sanding to do Wink
