|
|
I have scans of the complete plans for the Ennis-Brown house, which also includes the blueprints for the blocks themselves. I have re-created the blocks in a tile form out of plaster, for myself, but if I get enough interest I can make them out of a resin foam, which will be light for shipping as well as installing on a wall. Plus I could make singles out of plaster like I did for myself. I have two versions, one is Smooth like they were made originally, and I have a Weathered one which is what some of them look like now. It is your choice. I'm thinking that I can make them for about $5 a piece in the resin foam, (that would be the selling price). The plaster ones I will be selling for $15 but the shipping will be a lot higher and more difficult. Here are some pics of the process and the final product, have fun and let me know if you might be interested, thanks, Darin. The tiles measure 16"X16" I need to be clear that the reason these are so inexpensive is because the resin foam will NOT be painted it will be a wheat color, I can paint them but it brings the cost up, please let me know if you have any questions about this. I can give formulas for correct paint matching if you need, I'm just trying to keep things at a low cost for everybody.
Plaster in the original smooth finish
Plaster in the weathered finish
here is the master that I fabricated from solid wood pieces all at 15 degree angles, fun , but a total nightmare.
here is the resin mold for the cement cast i needed that to replicate exactly the texture of cement.
here is the Cement cast
Final silicone mold
Plain tile
Back of plain tile with displacement jig to reduce weight
Home theater
here are the lamps that will hang in the Theater

Same here... and I must say that I'll always prefer to deal with newcomers who take the time to say hello and introduce themselves before selling their stuff...
You're not on eBay here, you're on a board.

Thanks Andy, I really wasn't trying to treat this as an Ebay venue. I figured that I would post what i have been doing and you all would get to know me by Q&A about some of this stuff. Good to be here, among friends! |

In general we treat anyone who's first post is a "for sale" thread as spam, but yours were also to a degree more of a show if interest post. So we will let you off this time

Welcome onboard mate.
I for one would b interested in quite possibly a feature wall full, and at $5 for such great work it's an absolute bargain!
Time to measure up my old fire place surround! ( luckily no fire there now or the resin foam would be running down the wall!! Haha)
I shall watch with interest |

I'd often looked at the tiles and figured that building it up in layers would be the way to go. Glad to see that I was right. Great job on these, BTW. They look magnificent and I absolutely love the lamp idea.
Oh, and, welcome aboard. _________________ Pete |
